no support. I had the same idea as this suggestion and bumped it because it was a good idea. the last activity was several years ago.
also, technically, there isn't necroposting in the suggestions forum(only off topic things are necroposting). I don't see how this would help much

This is not the greatest idea.
Yes, necroposting won't really be happening anymore, but there's a lot of old topics that are still relevant today. They may have inactivity periods lasting multiple months to multiple years. This suggestion would close those when they do not need to be.

I feel like this would be a good post to support because I have programs with a bunch of if else blocks, and this could make it better.

I've bumped several topics made many years ago, that received no replies until mine. I wouldn't be able to do this if this were implemented. Looking at the first few pages I see a lot of people blindly supporting, because many people just seem to despise necroposting despite the fact that it isn't that much of a problem.
