Welcome to Project Save & Level Codes!

Some Scratchers make projects with features that produce design codes (platform levels, art designs, etc.) or save codes (progress through a game) that the project user can enter into the project. This is one place to store those things. The forums work well for data storage since a forum post can hold a lot of text - and projects like that use long strings of text to hold all the information.

If you would like to learn how to make a data saving feature for your project, check out this Scratch Wiki article or this video from Griffpatch.

A note to folks that want to use this space for storing data for their Scratch projects - it's a good idea to include a description of your project and a link to it in your first post so that others that might happen upon your data storage topic can find your project.

The first post is also a good place to explain any formatting styles you would like to see used. Putting long codes in code tags [code] [/code] is a good way to keep things tidy as it hides most of the code but still makes it easy to copy and paste. Take a look at the example below:

Well, from the date on the post above, you can see that it's been around since Valentine's day! However, it was only released to the public today - so you are correct.

Great idea! Save code topics were really clogging up Show and Tell.

I hope users won’t mistake this as a subforum for project IDs. It probably won’t be too common, but it could happen occasionally.

This is a huge achievement in the history of Scratch! A new forum for sharing level codes!

It's great to see that this is finally implemented! I remember discussing this with a couple of Scratch Team members back in the day.

I now feel old being able to say “Back in my day you posted level codes in the SaT forum!”

How do we get our topics from Show and Tell moved over to here? Is there a way to request that?
