Do not allow Minecraft server IPs to be linked on Scratch.
These servers are almost never chewy to an acceptable standard, so we should give them the ban hammer. Keep in mind moderation isn't just about keeping out swear words - it's also about keeping out off-site chat links and making sure that people aren't being total jerks to each other.
And really, there's a very good reason why Discord servers cannot be linked to.
I can already see some people arguing that

One bad experience doesn't mean all of the servers are bad!True, but make it three bad experiences and it starts to look like a rather concerning pattern.

Do not allow Minecraft server IPs to be linked on Scratch.
semi-support
scratch is full of mostly kids so any server they make will probably be family friendly
also with 1.19 chat reporting is a thing, so technically the servers are moderated enough
however inappropriate things could still happen, especially if the kid makes the server by themselves and doesn't know what the word moderation means

yes, except no also with 1.19 chat reporting is a thing, so technically the servers are moderated enough
You can still
- Put inappropriate stuff in books
- Write inappropriate stuff on signs
- Make inappropriate builds

and that's why admins existyes, except no also with 1.19 chat reporting is a thing, so technically the servers are moderated enough

now for my earlier point if the server doesn't have admins then yes it would be a problem

Scratch allows YouTube as it is a creative platform, even though there is definitely tons of content on YouTube not suitable for Scratch. Meanwhile Minecraft is a creative game so why should the Scratch Team give an exception to YouTube but not to Minecraft? Not to mention on Bedrock Edition censors swears and inappropriate language and more people play Bedrock than Java. However, say this was implemented. How would this be moderated? I could count millions of ways this would flag non-violating comments and not flag violating comments. How is it supposed to detect Minecraft server IPs from regular websites? Some servers also censor swearing, inappropriate words, and inappropriate builds, so how would they let those servers through? A whitelist and a blacklist wouldn’t work, since there are too many servers.

You can transfer inappropriate things by paper. Why not also ban papers lmao /sarc however inappropriate things could still happen, especially if the kid makes the server by themselves and doesn't know what the word moderation means
Sorry, you have to wait 60 seconds between posts.

No support, there's plenty of Scratch Minecraft servers that would be ruined like this.

No support. *, this place is SO STRICT! It's one thing to not even let on platform cloud chats allowed, another to ban minecraft servers. When will people understand: There is no way to stop outside platform communication, and there is NOTHING wrong with outside platform communication. Swearing isn't the issue, inappropriate builds aren't the issue. It's how this platform trys to cradle everyone on it and keep them as snowflakes.

it is Swearing isn't the issue

ok you sort of have a point, but it's so little of a point given how swearing and inappropriate builds are the real issue that you might as well not even have a point it's how this platform trys to cradle everyone on it and keep them as snowflakes.
