I just launched a massive update including a Level-Editor! Post your Codes below.
Here is an example:

Additionally, I added a few more tiles, such as “arrows” and “skulls” and I would love to see them involved in your levels.

Planned Improvements:
  • New tiles (teleport, hourglass, timers, pause / unpause, rewind, etc.)
  • Rework of the editor to make it more intuitive and easier to use.
  • Rework of the wires-layer (logic gates, different colors, etc.)

Bugs
  • Scrolling down in level selection menu doesn't work on mobile devices.

L00P - A Time Manipulation Puzzle Game - Level Codes

I have lots of suggestions
1. Colored kill tiles.
2. More edition possibilities, by that I mean more types of connecting lines and colored tiles, also the arrow is only facing right.
3. Teleport tiles.
4. A life tile and life counter to survive the kill tiles maybe.
5. The clock should also have colors.
6. Hourglass tile, so that it adds 1 to your clock instead of using it immediately.
7. Rotator tile, it rotates the connecting lines.
8. Colored connecting lines so that it detects whether the clone or you pressed a pressure plate in diverging connecting lines.
9. Spawner tile, like the clock but the clone starts in said tile.
10. Rewind tile, so that the clone does exactly what you did but in reverse.
11. Timer tile, so that if you pass through it you have a set amount of times before it spawns a clone.
12. Stopwatch tile, like the timer tile but it kills you instead of creating a clone.
13. Stop tile, so that if you go through that, if you clone then the clone does the same until when you go through the stop tile.
14. Start tile, stops the stop tile effect.
15. Last yet not least, better edition with popup custom block settings (colors and directions).

All in all, I would really appreciate if you added at least some of this suggestions, I understand if the code gets tedious, and I also don’t mind waiting 3 years for you to do this. Oh, I’m also gonna make a difficulty chart series of levels with the tools I have now. I hope you reply and get astounded.

Wow, first of all thanks for all the suggestions (and for retyping them xD)! I will definetly work on implementing some of these.

Colored kill tiles already exist! The “skull” tile resets the level once you touch them. All the tiles can be rotated using the left / right arrow keys and the colors can be switched with the up / down arrow keys! It's not really optimal how it is right now, but I will be searching for a more intuitive way to acces all the tiles / rotations in the level editor. There's clearly much room for improvement!

Teleport tiles have been suggested quite a few times and I think that especially colored teleport tiles would be a great addition. So that's definetly one point I'm going to implement at some point in the future!

Definetly a very interesting idea. Of course this would require a detection that it can only increase the counter by one in total even after stepping onto the tile multiple times but that's definetly worth a try!

Wires need a rework for sure. I was also thinking about adding logic gates such as AND, OR, NAND and wires should also be able to cross eachother. Your idea would really add to that! In combination with the logic gates you could have lots of fun, probably the wires would be a puzzle in itself already xD.

I really like this suggestion as it can spice up levels alot. I am actually already working on a very similar concept that allows the player and / or its clones to not be set back to start always, as this is the core concept I wanted to reach with the game to create acutal “infinite loops”. So be prepared for some crazy levels.

I'm not quite sure whether I understand this right. So with every move I make the timer decreases? Or do I have to hurry up to finish the puzzle in time before I get killed / spawn a clone? Since I want to keep the game calming and not stressful I think the first variant might work best.

How did you come up with so many great ideas! I love it. This would require for some significant changes in code but it's an amazing idea worth implementing!

Thanks for your suggestions, I always love the hear about other ways and new thoughts on improvements! The game is definetly far from being finished and I will keep updating the game slowly. Also as I already wrote the level editor really isn't optimal at this point. It feels very buggy and unintuitive but at least you can surprise me with some new levels for now. I will take a look at yours!

How I came up with the ideas? Reversing, inverting and swapping. Also I’m on mobile so yeah. Also I didn’t think about moves, but that’s actually better
