I found out recently that any nonexistent forum posts lead to topic 412. Why is this here?

Topic 412 is one of the dustbin topics.
I know that there's at least one for posts and one for topics.
I forget which one 412 is.

Topic 412 is a topic that only Scratch Team members can access. It's where they move all topics that are inappropriate or clogging up forums.

It's for deleted posts. Deleted topics go to the Dustbin forum — naturally, we can't access it, because only Scratch Team members can access it. But at least everything is in apple pie order that way — at least it's sort of easy for Scratch Team members to access the Dustbin forum, unlike Topic 412 itself…

Sort of. It's actually pretty hard to access it — whenever I tried to access it as a Scratch Team member, the page would load for about 30 seconds and then crash! I guess the topic has too many posts for me to view…

That makes sense that there are a lot of posts that break the Community Guidelines that have been moved to the dustbin forum.

Yes because only moderators can use it. It's just a compilation of inappropriate or rude posts anyway, there isn't much of a point in looking through it.
