Make Gobo, Giga, Pico, Nano have more memorizable names

Hello. Giga, Gobo, Pico, Nano, hard to memorize names for those who are new to scratch. My example is to call those sprites, fantasy 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on and so forth.

Those would be less memorable as they’re just numbers- Gobo, Giga, Pico, and Nano are very simple once you’ve seen them enough.

No. Would you ever rename Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse? They are the Donalds and Mickeys of Scratch.

Well, then just name it like monster 1 2 3 4 and so on and so forth.

So you saying then we COULD turn Mickey into Mouse 1, Minnie to Mouse 2, etc? Because no one will ever remember those.

Yes.
So naming Pico, for example, Monster 1 would be MORE memorable than Pico. +all the names for them are based off of units of measurement which is just so cool.

Personally, I don’t see why it’s important that new scratchers need to memorize these mascots’ name.

But younger people who use scratch may not know what's even a unit of measurement.

Well, just discontinue all 4 mascots, leaving only scratch cat instead.

If they’re using a computer and around the target age of Scratch, they will probably be able to figure it out, since computers often use these prefixes.

That doesn’t answer my question -_-

Just because people might not know their names doesn’t mean they are meaningless.

Why the heck would we do that? Do you have a grudge against the mascots? Did they steal your Cheezits? What happened that made you decide they should be renamed or removed?

Because everyone is gonna memorize numbers, right?

Mickey Mouce new cast:
  • Mouse 1
  • Mouse 2
  • Duck 1
  • Duck 2
  • Dog 1
  • Dog 2

And why would anyone want to memorize that? At least the names now are fun. Monster 1, 2, 3, and 4? You just sucked a good bit of fun from the website.

Yes they do. In the names of the sprites in the sprite library.

What matters more? Fun or memorization?

It's called an EASTER EGG. You won't pick up on it if you don't look for it. It's fun

I think fun, but memorization is also important and really matters.
