Feature an unshared project
I'm aware that there is already a way to do this, and there is an addon which i won't mention because of scratch policies, but it would be better if there was an easier way to feature an unshared project. It would be as simple as coding the “Feature project” button to just show all of your projects instead of just your shared projects. This would be helpful to a lot of scratchers who want banners on their profiles or to show a preview of an upcoming project but don't want to share the project.

Feature an unshared project
That's not the point, though. The point is to be able to feature a project without having to share then unshare it or use an addon, which aren't allowed to be discussed on Scratch. they could always make a demo game

It's harder to verify the appropriateness of a project if it's unshared, so it's probably not a good idea most of the time…..That's not the point, though. Plus, it really doesn't matter if it's shared or unshared, you could use a third-party like TurboWarp to look inside of it. Nothing in that project is safe once you make the link to it public.
I really don't see Scratch making it an actual feature.

All it does is share the thumbnail of the project. If the thumbnail was inappropriate, then it could be reported. I'm sorry it wasn't clear I was talking about just the thumbnail appearing. It's harder to verify the appropriateness of a project if it's unshared, so it's probably not a good idea most of the time…..That's not the point, though. I know, but they'd need to set it up so the link to the project wouldn't show when you right-click it as something to be copied into the clipboard. That's the only way it would work, which actually sounds cool. All it does is share the thumbnail of the project. If the thumbnail was inappropriate, then it could be reported. Yeah, they could just set it up as using the thumbnail image from uploads so if you right-clicked on it then it would just copy the link to the uploads page.I know, but they'd need to set it up so the link to the project wouldn't show when you right-click it as something to be copied into the clipboard.
