my sprite which is a dog is programmed to say ‘bark’ but for some reason the speech bubble always comes from its ears
how can I get it to come from its mouth?

I don't think you can get it to move. I'm not sure though… Perhaps it has something to do with the costume center.

You cannot get it to move. The only way around it is to rotate the sprite slightly.

A possible workaround is to get a different sprite/clone to do the speaking, and you position it in just the right place to get the bubble where you want it. For example, make the clone or other sprite have a single dot costume, with ghost 100% (so it's invisible), and put the dot right over the mouth.

It comes from its ears because if there were speech bubbles in real life, thats where it would come from. The top or the side of the character. It's in practically every game with speech bubbles; Toontown, Animal Jam, Woogi World, and much more. my sprite which is a dog is programmed to say ‘bark’ but for some reason the speech bubble always comes from its ears

But, we can't solve the problem completely unless we know what program it is, so give us a link.

Many cartoonists draw speech bubbles pointing to the top of the head. There is no reason to point the bubble at the mouth. People aren't stupid. They know it's the mouth that does the talking. The point of the speech bubble is merely to indicate WHO is doing the talking.

Exactly what I mean, I just didn't type it very well. Many cartoonists draw speech bubbles pointing to the top of the head. There is no reason to point the bubble at the mouth. People aren't stupid. Also, if you put a speech bubble there, it would block out its eye, its ear, nothing gets in the speech-bubbles way.Exactly what I mean, I just didn't type it very well.
