no support. it's minimal effort to bump a topic with a post and it's canonical to every forum.no support ^

No support, Bumping is actually just an exploit of the forum system. If a thread has a new post it it goes to the front to show that its alive right? So would a “bump” button just be used to keep your thread alive for your own gain? I just see it being exploited more than It should, and also being more pointless Than useful.Sorry, you have to wait until this post gets off the 1st page before you can bump this post up again.

Bump Option instead of writing 'bump'
Support! This would be very useful and it would reduce tons of unnecessary posts, also, they should make it so a topic can be only bumped after 24 hours and is no longer on the front page

Bump Option instead of writing 'bump'
This is in the Linux Mint forums and many others. But, it would be easier to bump. I just don't know how the message will look like, maybe you could choose between “bump”, “this topic teleports to the top”, “bring up by post”, and custom? (in the siggy page)

No support. It takes absolutely nothing to just type “bump”. Also just posting bumps a topic anway.

Bump Option instead of writing 'bump'
No support. A user will possibly bump a thread that has no use anymore.Anyone could bump a thread from five years ago at this second…
The only situation where this could cause spam is if a 9yr uses this option out of curiosity.

Bump Option instead of writing 'bump'
I would recommend a bump option next to the thread/topic's first post (just for the OP) instead of writing “bump” consecutivelyThis could help with user's forum posts mostly being comprised of “bump” or some other variation, and could also be more useful depending on a few things.
No support, Bumping is actually just an exploit of the forum system.No. Bumping helps for other people to see your thread, to see if it could be of use to them or not and if they should support it or not.
If a thread has a new post it it goes to the front to show that its alive right? So would a “bump” button just be used to keep your thread alive for your own gain?Yes, partially for your own gain I'd assume, but like I stated above, it also helps others find a topic to see if it can be to use.
I just see it being exploited more than It should, and also being more pointless Than useful. With the 60 second rule, bumps are limited, and then there is also the rule of not being able to bump when on the first page or until the next day.

This feature is useful since no one replies to my suggestions anymore… but will this only be for the OP?
