It would be a tie because you can only follow 10,000 users.

Actually, you can bypass this limit if you were a teacher account by having more than 100,000 students. If I remember correctly there was a teacher account that did this, but I don't remember the name.

But how would they have 100,000 students? I think that would be a bit insane..

You'd be surprised. Basically, it's an account that had students from all over the world, I believe. That would explain it. Additionally, there were several classes, and each class creates a new student account for each student joining the class. That is, my understanding, of course, I don't own a teacher account.

You're correct. This teacher has at least 20,000 students, so they're following at least 20K people. It's possible that this account has many people using it at once too, getting 20 thousand students is no easy accomplishment.

So that's the user following the most people…to our knowledge anyway, right?

Offtopic: It depends if one of us is hiding something…

Otherwise yes. This should be the current user that has the most followed. If there is an account with more followed than this account, that account should be linked instead. I highly doubt that there is an older account because if there was, there is a basically guaranteed chance that someone would link it due to presumably 20,000+ people on earth know this is the account.

I'm 90% sure as for some reason teacher accounts don't show up in the Scratch following leaderboards. Otherwise, we could go down the list and find the most followed teacher account. That would point to the account with the most users followed as students follow and are followed by the teacher account.

Using ScratchStats, we can see that kvacktest followed 11,901 users, making them the user who follows the most account. I think that the restriction following only 10,000 users didn’t exist at that time, but I may be wrong.

…I meant to give an answer which was a user who is not a student/teacher account.

There is a user (https://scratch.mit.edu/users/Robofun/) with a website (https://www.robofun.org/) that I think is a code camp or something like it. Robofun has 9845 shared projects…
