Change Log 4

Added:
* Rainbow text support!

Changes and fixes:
*Changed deltarune's background. Added a second background behind the main one and expanded the grid's size.

*Fixed yellow soul's bullet glitch. Now the bullet will destroy only one of the two hitten blocks instead of two at once.

*Re-worked on the combat system. I merged two battle sprites into one. Improved code along the way and removed over 8 useless variables.

*Fixed a rare bug that could only occur within the combat system, this bug tends to stop the whole attack process.

*Fixed two bugs within the first page of the editor.
-HUE variable disappears for the Deltarune background whenever the green flag is pressed.
-Font going out of the box within the editor.

Overall this changelog focuses on bug fixing and performance improvement. The next change log will be about the next editor page!
Oh, and the engine's development is slowly coming to an end.

Thank you for waiting.

Ah, I don't think it was very clear (for most people) that you were talking about a typo — Not Deltarune itself.

This is the beta version on the drop-down menu. This is just a mini sneak-peek on how it will function. I'll be changing the border color, the base color, and corners, and a whole bunch of other behind the scenes things.

*Quality is low mainly because you cannot edit anything within the List while being on a full screen.*

The idea is to quickly and easily navigate through several options within the GUI.

The next change-log will be out within two to three-day gaps.

ok, 1) how long do u think it will be until the engine comes out? and 2) how big will the project be, as in, would it be super laggy, or not?

1. There is no release date, mainly because I don't want to make any promises on the release date. As mentioned before, in change-log 7 or 8 I'll be announcing the release day. Change-log 5 is next on the line.

2. This is something that I am paying very close attention to. I re-coded a lot of my old code to improve the performance. The project sits at 7.3k blocks. I still know how to keep that number even lower. My end goal is to not reach over 9k or 10k blocks. The current state of performance is good. I use special formats to run each script when needed. Instead of running every script at the same time, I make sure they run at the proper moments.
Example: If the battle menu is toggled on, every single soul script is turned off. That way, the overall performance runs smoothly. But it also depends on what you define as super laggy?

Using any big projects in “see inside” causes a lot of lag. The engine itself isn't laggy, and Scratch itself is pretty slow. So an alternative method is to use turbowarp.Turbowarp just runs any scratch projects extra fast at a smooth rate.
The engine itself is running smoothly. Although my computer's fan tends to spin fast if I am using the engine through “see inside.” But as mentioned above, this will occur within any big project. So make sure to stop the project first before clicking “see inside.”
