I want to know how many new people follow @griffpatch daily so I can put it in a project that shows (kind of) live new @griffpatch followers.

when green flag clicked
set [daily followers v] to ()
set [followers per second v] to ((daily followers) / (86400))
set [followers per frame v] to ((followers per second) / (fps))
forever
	change [new followers v] by (followers per frame)
	set [new @griffpatch followers v] to  ([floor v] of (new followers))

This would be difficult, but not impossible. Try asking the folks in advanced topics; You can report the first post of this topic, and in the text box it shows, explain that you want this to be moved there if you want.

Keep in mind that this sub-forum is named ”Questions about Scratch” and not “Questions about Scratchers”. Only create topics here if you have a general question about Scratch. This fits in the Advanced Topics because you could probably use ScratchDB to find out how many followers they get daily and find the average or do something along that line, but of course, I could be wrong since I’m not an ATer.

You could try and count or calculate the followers gained over a certain time period.

The wayback machine exists so you don't have to wait.
Griffpatch has 389272 followers when I just checked.
Back in February, he had 340683. (https://web.archive.org/web/20220222143308/https://scratch.mit.edu/users/griffpatch/followers/)
That is a difference of 48589 over 131 days.
Almost 371 followers per day.

Of course this rate is going to vary a lot, right now it probably would be much less as Scratch's activity drops significantly during the summer holidays.

I know, crazy, but from 50 to 300 follows a day Ive been checking his followers often to see when he hits 500k follows he is only needs 400 more!
