Idea for a Logo Change [Scratch 3.0]

Guess what? the Scratch logo is NOT for personal use.

I like it, it definitely looks much more professional.

However, it might be a little TOO professional. Keep a bit of the playfulness and you're golden.

Although it does look nice, I don't think they would use it. Scratch is for kids and is meant to be a playful site, and the current logo they have shows that perfectly. I think that changing the logo to that would make it seem a bit grown-up, so no support.

honestly the logo looks too basic lol its legit just “Scratch” under a very simple font with a few outlines, while with the current one at least it doesnt look plain and simple and yknow what i mean

Using paint,

Just use fill.

Anyway, Maybe, Change the font. But keep the letters going up and down, and add a little tilt to the letters.

No… Don't let the corporate-ness virus take over Scratch! No…

All jokes aside, it's a good logo with a nice-looking font, but I feel like the current logo is just way too iconic to be changed. It has stayed similar and almost the same for about 15 years, and it just feels weird to change the logo when it's already praised and popular. The logo also looks more ‘adult-y’, and that might work for other companies, but Scratch is mainly for kids when you think about it.

I wouldn't be devastated if this logo was actually implemented but I just think that the timing and style for a website like this isn't all that good.

The font Scratch uses was designed by a single man. I doubt he would have the resources or willpower to attempt to sue a multi-million dollar entity like Scratch (and also because he would almost certainly lose). He apparently offers the ability for his fonts to be used commercially, provided you contact him.

That would basically make the new logo that is being suggested into the current Scratch logo. That would destroy the point of the logo being suggested.

I like the logo as it is because it looks childish and I think that the current one fits the websites theme better than the logo you suggested.
