Basically, I'll get to the point. If you've been in scratch for 1-2 years now, go ahead andmove on to Snap. They have a scratch-like community now with project uploading/downloading etc, featured pages, whole bunch of shazam like that for the Snap language, which is basically Scratch except probably double the size of functions, etc, and an active development team.

Did I also mention Snap can be converted to .exe via citilab's site?

I've been using Scratch for at least 6 years. I have tried Snap! and I did not like it, also their website feels a bit plain/clunky to me. I feel like Scratch has all you need to make great games and programs and if it doesn't suffice in speed/capabilities you can use something like JS/C++/whatever. I just feel like Snap! is over-complicated and I'd rather learn C++, which likely runs faster than Snap!, even when you make an .exe out of a project.

Bringing this topic back up, because this has been abandoned.

Just a question about making blocks in Snap!.

So, I'm trying to make a '[sound v] is playing?' block in Snap!. However, I don't know how to.

How do I make a block that can detect if a sound is playing or not in Snap!?

I recommend you post your question in the Snap! forums to get a proper answer.

Okay. But is there a search bar that you can type in the name of a topic or thread?

Edit: Just for clarification, here's what the block looks like so far:

This is a general topic, it is fine to necropost on those, but you can't necropost on questions that were already answered.
