Pokemon is getting rarer on Scratch and is nearly dead in some parts of the world, so I recommend Scratch should play a role in saving it.
I would like to see a Pokemon themed SDS sometime later this year, with Pokemon projects in it.

Scratch would need to make an agreement with Nintendo before even considering to do anything related with Pokemon, which while not impossible is highly unlikely. However I don't think Pokemon is dying or is rare. The Pokemon Topic in the forums is very active, and the forums alone are a very small part of the Scratch community.

Pokemon makes more money than you will in multiple lifetimes, it's perfectly fine.

I also think Nintendo/The Pokemon Company would rather DMCA projects using Pokemon than collaborate with Scratch

My classmates did not talk about it and ignored it. It is dying in Oceania,where one of my friends lived and he liked Pokemon.

All of my schoolmates did not know of Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.

Pokemon is a copyrighted+trademarked property, and I don't think Scratch has the money to pay for licensing fees (note: I know nothing about copyright and trademark law). It wouldn't be a fun day to see all of the entries to the SDS removed because of a DMCA.

Just because something is “dying” among your friend group doesn't mean that you can't still enjoy it.

But why? Because you like Pokémon, and you feel it's dying? That doesn't mean Scratch should jump right onto the topic of saving it.

I mean, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is going to release in five months and one week, and Pokémon is still a very popular franchise…

I think the thing is most people on scratch know what Pokémon are, they just chose to not make projects about it, and you can’t force people to like stuff.
Plus, as others have said, its not “dying”. Although people you know may not be as interested as you, there’s 7 billion people on Earth, so I’m sure there’s quite a few people who do like it, also seeing as it’s the highest-grossing franchise of all time.

Please prove the Pokemon is “dying”. Why should Scratch just all of sudden in favor of Pokemon (not that it isn't in favor of Pokemon)?
In fact, Pokemon is currently the most popular franchise in the WORLD.
Also, just because your friends don't know a Pokemon game and ignore it does not mean it is dying. Plus, if Pokemon is dying in Oceania… what does that have to do with Scratch?

Well, the ST would need special permission from Nintendo to do that, which would probably be pretty hard considering they're a multi-million dollar company that is notorious for not listening to people. And if they were to do it without permission, well… I think me and just about everyone else in this thread know how Nintendo is about copyright. (They're particularly mean about their music, but they also tend to be not nice when it comes to their IPs too. Ever heard of the Roblox Pokemon Brick Bronze debacle? Yeah.)

Is this a joke suggestion? The odds that Scratch would get permission from Nintendo to do this is astronomically low.

I would like to comment on this to say that I think the SDS themes are intended to be accessible for everyone, in the sense that everyone can understand the SDS theme and make a project about it.

Since not everyone knows what Pokémon is, they wouldn't know how to make an SDS project with Pokémon in it.
