When?

Scratch isn't planning on making scratch 4.0 any time soon. They aren't even done with 3.0! Many pages (profiles, the forums, etc.) aren't updated yet.

There isn't a solid answer to when Scratch 4.0 will launch.

We don't know yet, but it is for sure that it will not come for at least a few years. I would like to note that the pattern of the prior version's release dates doesn't determine whether Scratch 4.0 will come in a definite year.

The Scratch Team had to quickly update Scratch 2.0 since Adobe announced that Adobe Flash, the application on which Scratch 2.0 relies, is going to be obsolete. Thus, Scratch 4.0 also has to rely on other language(s) that is faster than the current ones (Javascript and C++). The current languages have to be deprecated.

As of now, the Scratch Team isn't planning Scratch 4.0, and for a good reason: there are other prioritized things that the Scratch Team currently has on their to-do list.

Yeah probably.

The profiles and forums use the same 2.0 format so,not yet.

Also the 6-year rumor aren’t true,It’s just a coincidence.

This is completely false.

Development of Scratch 3.0 began in 2016, one year before Adobe even announced the EOL for Flash and four years before its termination date. Plus, there is no “law” that every new update on Scratch needs to be on a completely new platform or that Scratch only updates when its current platform is about to end. Scratch 1.x had four updates using Squeak, which is a programming language still used and updated to this day. 2.0 could've easily kept using Squeak but the developers simply chose Flash because it was easier to develop for. The same with Javascript and 3.0; all modern browsers support Javascript and it's not going away anytime soon. That doesn't mean that Scratch will never update, 4.0 can just as easily be made with Javascript.

Read half the posts above this: it’s just a coincidence. This is not guaranteed.

I feel like this question gets asked all the time here.
It most likely isn't gonna release anytime soon. The time gaps are just a coincidence and a few pages are yet to be updated. Plus, HTML isn't going to end anytime soon.
