are jumpscares/horror allowed?
No, jumpscares usually aren't allowed as they can be intimidating to young users even if there is a jumpscare warning. As for horror, it depends on the intensity.

No, not if it is very violent. Scratch doesn’t mess around with banning accounts! Younger users would probably be rather upset by that type of content.

Nope! Jumpscares are WAY too scary for this platform's audience.
As for horror, maybe some MILD elements like ghosts and/or halloweeny stuff might be OK, but not gory graphic psychological horror games, those are WAY too violent.

I mean, the ST did put a ghost in the sprite library, so as long as it isn’t too scary looking it would be fine.Nope! Jumpscares are WAY too scary for this platform's audience.PROBLEM: Gory ghosts

No, those things aren't allowed. You can report projects for it and they can be taken down because of it ^^

Jumpscares aren't allowed.
Horror projects that don't break the rules (jumpscares, too much blood, realistic gore, realistic violence) get marked as “Not For Everyone” by the Scratch Team, meaning they won't appear on the front page or search results.

Wow, ST really be bashing on older users.
I mean, scratch has bigger report problems such as recoloring(APPERENTLY RECOLORING IS ALLOWED), but like, people can put so much work into something and nobody will see it because of this.
Jumpscare warnings are a thing.

Jumpscare warnings are a thing. That doesn't make them less scary. Kids might not know what they're getting into (“I've never heard of a ‘jumpscare’ before, what is it?”) and could still be traumatized.

i would just like to know
Jump scares are not allowed on scratch, even with warnings. They are too intense for young audiences.
For horror, do not make it super intense like having b l o o d or realistic we@p0ns or things like that.
