Brief quiz on the community guidelines
When I was taking a computer class at my school, about half the kids when they became Scratchers just clicked through the guidelines without even looking at them or reading them.
There should be some sort of quiz on the guidelines or some way to just assure that they understand them.
There would be 5 clearly worded questions. It would be a quiz on morals and stuff like “a 5 year old could see your project. True or false?”
Currently 13 supporters and counting!

That's true… I support anyway, because people who dislike it will probably just make scratch bad by being ignorant of the guidelines. It doesn't matter if they dislike it, because it's making the Scratch community betterSure, I think it's a good idea but It sounds like a lot of people would dislike it.Could you explain why it is not 100% support or 0% support? When I was taking a computer class at my school, about half the kids when they became Scratchers just clicked through the guidelines without even looking at them or reading them.Hmm… 80% Support.

And if you fail the quiz, what happens? xD do you get banned?
Besides, some Scratchers can read them over and over and still not behave. Unfortunately that's often how things will work with kids. xD (posssssibly even me…nah jk)
So sorry, no support.

How would the ST handle the occurrences of somebody accidentally clicking the wrong choice in the quiz and missing the chance to become a Scratcher? Some Scratchers just know to be nice without having to read/memorize the community guidelines. And if you fail the quiz, what happens? xD do you get banned? No, if you fail the quiz, you can take it again, but you're still a New Scratcher.

EDIT: I remember when I just joined the site and clicked onto the community guidelines and read the first line or so thinking “Why wouldn't I follow these rules?”. I think I clicked away without reading the rest of them or something - I probably would've failed this “quiz” if it had been around in 1.4. xD

No support, Scratch is meant to quickly accessible to anyone and for the low amount of violations we have its not worth doing something like that.

Support!
I think that there should be an option to type in the username and password for an old account and skip the quiz.

You wouldn't, because it would be a quiz on morals, and you seem to know morals. How would the ST handle the occurrences of somebody accidentally clicking the wrong choice in the quiz and missing the chance to become a Scratcher? OK, so nothing like “Please write the fifteenth letter of the third guideline in the box below. Opening another tab or writing the wrong letter will result in instantaneous failure of this quiz.” or “Failure to complete this quiz will result in instant termination of your account”? xDDD jk…You wouldn't, because it would be a quiz on morals, and you seem to know morals. How would the ST handle the occurrences of somebody accidentally clicking the wrong choice in the quiz and missing the chance to become a Scratcher? But still - what does this quiz stop people from reading the guidelines and ignoring them?
almost everybody is linked to them 24/7… but even if everybody did read them and did understand them there would still be plenty of moderation required and rule breaking needing correction.

It doesn't matter what OTHERS like but what YOU like, has your parents told you that before? There should be some sort of quiz on the guidelines or some way to just assure that they understand them.
)Anyways yeah, when I think back I never really legitimately looked at them thoroughly enough, support.

I don't know a single person who reads the terms of use for anything. I didn't read them either.
