Allow realistic weapons

Talking about realistic weapons won't start making children want to use them. The more you restrict a child from something, the more they'll want it. Gun safety is important, anyways.

The purpose of banning realistic weapons is to keep the website age appropriate. Remember, Scratch is for kids and most users on here are 8-12 years old. Realistic weapons generally leads to blood and graphic violence, which isn't appropriate for Scratch. Censoring gun names is for the good of the community as people can't get violent with guns if they don't know about them, right?

And also, your logic is, “The more you restrict a child from something, the more they'll want it,” which doesn't make much sense at all. Using that logic, the more we restrict children from crime, the more they'll want it.

No. Realistic weapons, if they were allowed would cause a lot of inappropriate projects and studios.

While many of us want this (me included), it won't get added. The st thinks guns are inappropriate, and whether or not they are, realistic weaponry will not be allowed on scratch.

Because realistic weapons can be very triggering for Scratchers from violent locations - and because realistic weapons are often associated with violent projects that might not be appropriate for all Scratchers - I don't see us changing our stance on this.
