Transparent text should work perfectly fine, even though it “doesn't work on some browsers”. The only browsers not supporting transparent text are very old and outdated like some versions of Internet Explorer.

Now, if it instead condensed the text instead of simply hiding it under rectangles, that would be far more useful. That way, you could condense topics by hiding large images/sections which are necessary but not that important.

Well, if that's the case? Scratch is redirecting people from IE to Edge.
I don't think one could need images, and even then:

Scratch isn't supported on Internet Explorer in the first place.

No, but the forums are, and not to name names but there are some people who refuse to convert.

Yeah, and you could probably also coax some parts of Scratch 3.0 into running on IE if you tried hard enough. That doesn't mean that we should maintain support for those particular sections.

It's always the spoiler tags thread. No other thread that I follow has been bumped this many times.

There are 2 ways this could work. It can work by collapse, or it can work by hiding. Collapse has already been discussed. However, it might
break the flow of the [post v] :: grey // like this
and I'm not a fan of that.

On the other hand, hiding can go into the middle of posts, so you can hide just a small section. When you click on it, the text is revealed, which is more convenient than highlighting.

Support, could be used if mobile users don't want to make the page slow and laggy (the images should load into the memory when the button is clicked).

Support! In the “Things I'm Reading And Playing” people could post spoilers for any series, so a spoiler tag could be very helpful!

I agree with the idea, could be useful especially when you have a long list of things, such as a change-log for a game.

It's closed. And the link in that topic leads back here.

You should check the following things before saying a topic is a duplicate.
1. The date of when it was first suggested (This is to prevent linking duplicates)
2. Check if the topic is closed or not

There are probably more ways but i'm not sure.
