So I'm suggesting there is an option added in the project editor to recover deleted sprites and costumes. Sometimes you accidentally delete something that you worked really hard on, and then there's no getting it back.

I think this would be benefical for the community because it can save a WHOLE game, art piece, animation, etc. I think that scratch would definitely be easier to make projects on if I could recover deleted sprites and costumes.

It's really frustrating when things get deleted like that, and making some sort of option to recover it would be AMAZING!

I believe that would be an amazing idea! I've lost a lot of work through accidentally deleting a sprite. I believe this would be super useful!

Doesn’t this already exist? Go to edit, and then restore.

Feature already exists. If you click edit, there is a restore button that restores the last costume, sprite or sound that was deleted.

well this does raise the question though: why doesnt scratch make it easier for you to know that you can recover sprites bruh

literally its in the edit section, a small block of text on the top left that people can easily forget about
wont be surprised if at least 70% of people on scratch dont know this lmao

If there is, they should add a clearer option for it.

I once saw a topic about expanding the restore to all deleted assets, not just the last one that was deleted. Is that what you are thinking about? I'll have to find the topic.

You actually can restore the last thing you deleted by clicking edit and pressing restore costume/sprite, unfortunately you have to do it before deleting anything else :')

so uh yeah

you can but it's only useful for immediate restoration

The “Restore” button exists in the “Edit” tab and you can undo deleting blocks by right clicking and pressing “Undo”

I know, but I'm suggesting it appears RIGHT ON THE SCREEN after you delete something. so its visible.
