I've seen numerous exact copies of projects on the Animations section of trending recently. Are you going to fix this issue anytime soon? It's kind of starting to annoy me a little bit, and I expect it to be fixed soon.

Now here's something you don't see everyday.

A project with NO VIEWS (other than the creator) is in the animations section of trending.

It’s because there’s ‘’animations’’ in the title. It has the same effect as a tag in the title. This should still not happen considering it has 1 view…

i think you have animations in the tags. maybe that caused it

Anyway yeah I know it's caused by the tags but why do JUST underrated people get on trending immediately after putting the word animations in their title or description???

It duplicates projects when it loads more projects in the explore tab.

Yes, this is a common issue, where projects show up multiple times on trending.

I think it's somewhat linked to the lack of projects with a new ID as from noticing certain projects, I haven't seen one that exceeds 650,000,000 (so from February). I'm not exactly sure what happened seeing that I haven't been seeing projects from popular users trend, I do believe this might be one of the reasons though I'm not exactly sure lol

As a result of this, pretty small projects tend to just, uh show up for some reason due to how the majority of the larger projects have a newer ID that isn't registered onto the search results. I hope I'm not just the only one that's affected by this since it's pretty much an ongoing issue.

I contacted the Scratch Team and this is what they answered:

Thanks for the message. I am afraid it can take a little time for items to appear in search results. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In the meantime, we recommend typing the username directly into the URL bar on your web browser (https://scratch.mit.edu/users/USERNAME). This will lead you to the user's profile page where you can find any shared projects they might have.''

I don't know what their definition of ‘' little time’' is. I have a project that have been shared since feb 13 and that still do not show. The search bar just stopped working. No project that was shared in the last months can show up both on the search bar and also on the exlplore page which make the trending page meaning less since most of the projects simply can't get on there no matter how well they do. This problem is significant and I don't understand how they do not seem to care about fixing it. I just hopped they would would say in there reply that they are working on fixing it.

Also you might be right about the ID! Every project with an ID higher than 650 000 000 seem to not have the ability to get on trending or to show up when you search for them.

Even if you go in the RECENT tab, the project all have an ID below 650 000 000 :0

Interesting. So I guess if someone just shared a project from that timeframe, it could get on trending within a day or two.

This is a really interesting observation, and yesterday I shared two projects with the same title on my test account - “Bulldozer Test”.

Today only one of those projects is searchable, the one with a low project ID.

The one with an ID greater than 650,000,000 hasn’t turned up on search (yet)

I’ll keep checking…

I've done some brute force trial and error testing, and the highest ID number that is indexed is 643014898.

The next project ID of a shared project (643014903) is not indexed, and none of the ones higher than that are either.

This is crazy. The Scratch Team needs to fix this soon. This is the biggest glitch I’ve ever seen on scratch. Literally millions of projects are missing. I also shared 2 projects (one with an ID of ~450 000 000 and one with an ID > 650 000 000) and only the one with the low ID shows up.
