Make All emojis on forums words, not symbols

Some people (including me) like the :) instead of the

, but i have to put some BB code so it doesn't automaticlly change, so i purpose this change

turn :) not into

but if you wanted to type

, then you would type ::smile:: kind of like some other emojis.

The pros of this are that you can use both at will and it's not too hard to remember since other emojis like :

: are made with ::cool::

That makes sense. I often find myself wanting to type a normal smiley, and then the emoji pops up!

If this was implemented, :) should still be an option, as it's much shorter than :smile: and thus more convenient.

It wouldn’t be that inconvenient being that you could still press the emoji button, besides emojis like :cool: already deal with this

I would prefer something like _:)_ like in Comments because it is much easier to write but this looks like a great suggestion. I found a workaround though.  :) is created with U+200B in between the two Characters

This is a good idea, because usually the normal workaround would be to use BBCode, but this would help post emoticons rather than emojis. :D
