8R4 is not a 3 letter, it's a 3 character.

Does anyone know if the users in https://scratch.mit.edu/classes/523115/ can be deleted? and if so, is it possible to free up the usernames? because they're useless just dumped in some class and people actually want 3 letter/character usernames

i've tried using code to do it but it's too big and overwhelms scratch's server so I had to stop

the scratch team does have the ability to free up the usernames (by changing them), but i don't think it makes sense to do so, just so that a few “rare usernames” are available to the world.

It's pretty hard now, but there is 1 that is available but you need to be lucky that the filter is down and that is “w7f”. I have no idea why it is banned.

I think that ST should remove accounts that have no activity at all. It would free up storage space for people who actually use the website. (Also I'm just salty that the username I wanted was stolen by that fake teacher account.)

Look at the first and second letter. Along with the seven, it looks like an abbreviation which contains an inappropriate word in it.
