The Bosses of Dynamite Headdy
Today, we get to talk about the bosses of a funny little Sega Genesis game called Dynamite Headdy.
If you ever played Gunstar Heroes before, then this game should ring a bell.
In the first stage, you have to run away from this annoying red robot guard that captures you and
some innocent townsfolk. But this thing isn't the boss. The boss of this level is instead a
cliche bear/cat/whatever thing called Trouble Bruin (Maruyama in the Japanese verson) which tries
to obliberate you since the time the robot from earlier is fleed from. He attacks with these
balls of energy while he runs turning blue and purple contiuisly.
The next fight with Maruyama would of been a hard one. Well… …if this giant balloon dog hadn't
of crushed the annoying hybrid with it's ribs. This thing is called the Mad Dog. She jumps around
the arena trying to crush you.
In the second stage, you fight Maruyama again. He grabs you and you have… …you know what, I
dont care about this one. I dont even know where it's weakpoint is. NEXT BOSS PLEASE!
After the last one, you fight this robot called “The Puppeteer” and a puppet called “Gentleman
Jim” (Otherwise known as Marrio & Netton). Both of the enemies are targets. But its recomended
that you defeat Marrio first because thats easier. The Puppeteer controls Gentleman Jim from
the ceiling while making him do sinister things to you such as kick and barrel roll.
The actual boss of Stage 2 is called Jacquline Dressy. A giant wooden mannequin. Simple
boss. Keep on attacking her until she falls apart. But watch out for her costumes. Ones
a robot, ones a ballerina and ones an annoying FIREBREATHING DRAGON!
Ok. Stage 3. The first boss is a mini-boss called Mons Meg (Or Rebecca in the version realeased
for Europe). Easy enough already, But this nerve wracking thing will try and squish you and
even shoot bullets (or music notes) through its mouth.
The next boss is called Motor Hand. What do you think he is? Another Keymaster? If you think
that, give yourself a cookie. Jacquline and Mad Dog are keymasters too. You just have to
shoot his back until he dies. Simple boss. Right? Nah. To make it even harder, Motor Hand
has himself put you in the back ground so its harder to shoot his back! Dang it, Treasure.
You got us this time. But the power of cheat codes will make this fight easier…
Next boss. Baby Face. Yes, he is the 5th keymaster. But if Mad Dog is the first, Jacquline
is the 2nd, Motor Hand is the 4th and Baby Face is the 5th, whos the 3rd. Anwser: Already
dead. To do this fight quickly, he has 4 forms. His first shoots fireballs. His 2nd form
is a bit harder. He points up a finger and it shoots sparks. His 3rd form is the hardest.
He is now a middle aged man. He shoots lasers from his eyes while using shutters to make
you lose sight of them. The 4th phase is also the easiest. But it could be the hardest
if you want the secret bonus point. He tries to grab you. If he grabs you, he dies
of old age. But if you shoot him and avoid the hand, you will get the secret bonus point.
The next boss includes a townsperson throwing some keys into the basket on the bosses
back. After 5 keys are thrown in, the boss dies. But then another is occoured.
The last boss turns into this monstrocity of a robot. Its easy if the boss didn't use
Heather as a puppet shield. Wait until the boss moves their arms away from their face
when they use heather to attack you. It can be easily beaten with a bomb after it takes
enough damage.
This next boss, is Taro. A puppet sun/robot that attacks you with enemies and
its fake lights (which is revealed to be a shuriken). Hit it's center enough
times to win.
The semi-final boss is Twin Freaks who is one of the ,if not the, hardest bosses
ever in a Sega Genesis game. He tries to crush you like Mad Dog but this
time, he tries crushing you against the wall. Hit him while he's green. But
when he's red, stay calm and run away in the map; WHICH IS UPSIDE DOWN!
The final boss is a tad less harder than Twin Freaks. The game is now a
half platformer and half RPG. Dark Demon waits for you to attack first.
Then he can attack. If your having trouble, look at the orb he's holding.
It'll soon get repetitive and you will know what to do. Once you defeat
him, Dark Demon gets turned into a medal and lunges towards you. You now
are the greatest puppet in the world.
But theres one more boss. But this is a secret boss. A fat middle aged man who
throws money and summons loan sharks to attack you. Simply hit him until he's dead.
Pretty easy. Then you have completed the whole game officially!
Sorry, I missed some bosses including some more of Mamurya's forms, a robot called
Catherine, a snake, and a soldier who rolls around the floor as an attempt to hit you.
But I didn't exactly know their names.
