I know this is probably a stupid question but can we put itch.io links to games on the “instructions” part of our projects? Basically I want to have a packaged version of my game available but itch.io is the only way that’s possible, the answer will probably be no but I still want to ask

I would think so, assuming your project is a safe one and doesn't contain anything inappropriate.

If you want to be safe, you could also unshare it and provide a link to TurboWarp.org as that should compile it on the fly… right?

Technically yes but if I package it, it allows me to remove the green flag + stop sign and do a few other things like converting cloud variables into local variables that are saved to your computer

Also I need a few more people to reply to know if I can do this or not, yes the project is 100% kid friendly (it’s just a PVZ game) but I just want the ability of packaging it and itch.io is the only way I know how (unless if I can make a github page for the game, which if it’s not ok to put itch.io links would it alteast be ok to put a link to my own github page?)

I don't recommend linking itch.io because it looks like it's a 13+ website. But I will look through some forum pages to see if I can find an exact answer.

Alright that’s what I was thinking, I’ll just have to make a GitHub page then (which that SHOULD be ok I think?)

Yeah, they are fine. I contribute to a scratch collaboration that uses GitHub for their websites and they haven't gotten in trouble.

Itch.io links are allowed as long as they are appropriate.
