The icons look like as if Scratch was from the 90's, and I have noticed that sometimes old styles come into fashion as time flies by.
If that didn't make sense, I'll try to explain it another way.
So, here are some of the logos from the original post:

Agreed. Although the current logo looks nice, these logos have a nice touch to them, and would make a better fit for the target audience of Scratch.

No, that is not true. I don't understand why nobody likes modernisation, whether it's scratchr2 or something as tiny and unimportant as a new logo. Personally idc what logo they use but “it's too modern” is not a good reason for keeping it the same.

I prefer the current logo - no need for unnecessary change. The visitors know Scratch by this logo, and it's not problematic so there's no reason for change.

The logo looks really cool, I've seen many people complain about this because “The old Scratch logo is classic”, but you've got to admit this is still a good logo.
