I don't think the Scratch Team intended for Gobo's friends to have set species. It's up for interpretation though.

I believe they are aliens, because they are in the “space” category in 2.0 sprite library.

I believe it’s also designed like a plant, but the user can use their imagination to make a species for Gobo.

Yes, Nano, Giga, Pico, and Tera are named after metric prefixes.

What are you suggesting? That they’re robots? I mean, maybe. Or maybe they’re aliens. Maybe they’re mutated dogs or something. It’s up to the user who’s using the sprites to decide.
