I wanted to make a pizzeria simulator where you manage your own restaurant. You can buy animatronics to entertain the customers, you can make pizza but the animatronics may act a bit, quirky at night. It will take an 8 bit style similar to the minigames of FNAF. I wanted to add a survival night mode which is off by default when it is night time where the 8 bit styled animatronics try to attack. I think it might not be good for scratch but it is off by default so I'm not sure

Define “quirky,” though, in this connotation. Is it scary?

I think they're referencing the old Night Guard night 1 call:

Anyways, if it doesn't contain jumpscares, disturbing images, roots of kidnapping and murder in the plot, and any other horror aspects that define FNAF (also not mentioning the name FNAF or Five Nights at Freddy's anywhere), then you should be okay.

However, if you reference FNAF in any way, even by writing FNAF in the description, your project will be marked as NFE, or not for eeveryone. NFE projects do not show up on the front page or search results, so if you'd like people to be able to search your project up, you should avoid those keywords.

It's an overhead view of the pizzeria. Kinda like some simulators. Customers will wander around the restaurant and you can hire workers to automatically do the job but you will lose a bit of your money to pay the workers.

Will it keep the horror aspect of FNAF?

Here is what the Scratch Team said about projects containing FNAF
The Scratch Team Said
We’ll only unshare projects that violate our Community Guidelines. For instance: An emulation of the game containing all of the elements described above are not okay. On the other hand, a Freddy Fazbear dress up game? That’s probably okay.
Which means if the project does not contain
  • Jump scares
  • Scary scenes
  • The scary backstory
  • Frightening images
If what k0d3rr said is right this should be fine.
Hope this helps you find an answer.

As far as I know, any kind of FNAF game on Scratch is banned. For more information, you can read the rejected suggestions list. Reported to be closed.

*Except for stuff like FNAF dress-up games (because why not).

FNAF is not banned, only the ones that are too scary will be taken down.

I agree - if the project doesn't have those elements, it's probably okay.

Still some mystery surrounding it. But it is unnoticeable in normal gameplay. Only for those who like the original FNAF lore. It does not have lore at all, but some people will think there is lore and over analyze something that lacks lore. It does not need lore because its just a simulator (uh oh, i think i spoiled the secret ending)

Let me ask it differently. How scary is it? Is it still a horror game? I get that there’s a bit of suspense already because it’s a mystery, but is it too scary for kids?

It is not scary. It does not have any horror aspects, there is still lore but nothing too dark. It won't be too scary for kids, I am a kid myself so of course not.

Then I’d say you’re most likely fine. Just be careful.
