having to right-click for every block you want? this just seems too inconvinient.

You act like this suggestion will fix that.If your computer can't render a lego piece in 2d you must be using an ENIAC.You're forgetting that some scratch projects have like 600 blocks per sprite
Anyways, just looking at the pictures provided confuses me, and this grants the same issues as the “switch from 3.0 design to 2.0 design” rejected suggestion has, which is that it could be confusing for people using different designs.
