#StandWithUkraine emoji
It would be like forcing a political view on Scratchers. In which aspect? Also this would be like propaganda

#StandWithUkraine emoji
The emoji is “Stand with Ukraine”, which criticizes Russia's current politics (war with Ukraine) in a distant way. It is the Scratch Team that implements the emoji. Scratch welcomes anyone with any political orientation, saying that this emoji, which criticizes Russia's current politics, will not be implemented.(Translated by Google Translate)

#StandWithUkraine emoji
We really should not make emojis for Ukraine because:
1. Russia will ban Scratch like they did with Twitter and Facebook when they changed their ToS to allow people to bully Russians with no repercussions.
2. Ukraine has done some shady stuff, especially now that everyone treats them like perfect angels.
3. We would need to add every country's flags for future events and for people who support the other side.

This is not “Go against Russia,” it's “Stand With Ukraine.” Supporting one side is The emoji is “Stand with Ukraine”, which criticizes Russia's current politics saying that this emoji, which criticizes Russia's current politicsnot the same thing as criticizing the other.
Scratch would not force people to use this emoji, it's optional. Most people don't even know how to use emojis using the _emoji_ methodIt would be like forcing a political view on Scratchers. In which aspect? Also this would be like propaganda

Not sure if this has been said (I don't want to go through over 10 pages of discussion), but why don't we just ask for support for all unicode flag emojis so they don't have to add any new scratch emojis?

If there are many people who do not know the existence of emoji, even if it is implemented, it will not be used much and the effect will not be seen. (Translation by Google Translate)

Actually, kids do take things in thing by thing, but 9 is normally the age they are able to absorb the concept of war.(#268)Adding on to this argument, why is 9 the magical “know-it-all” age? Shouldn't kids take thing by thing in, not just make the 9 year old absorb everything at once?Star Wars is different cause its laser guns and stuff, but I agree somewhat. Kids shouldnt be shielded from everything slightly scary in the world.(#266)not really, star wars is basically about people fighting the galactic empire, and yet its pg7, that's like saying people below 9 shouldn't know about covid.
People younger than 9 shouldn't know about war.\
I dont support this suggestion for different reasons, just wanted to toss my 2 cents into the ol' politics jar
Star Wars doesn't contain as much blood and has fictional guns and stuff. War doesn't.(#266)not really, star wars is basically about people fighting the galactic empire, and yet its pg7, that's like saying people below 9 shouldn't know about covid.

Definitely no support. While I am aware of the war and I personally side with Ukraine (they are the ones being invaded after all in my opinion), I don't think Scratch should join in. Scratch is not about politics.
I have seen many of your arguments that say “only bad russians side with putin” and “so is calling nazis bad racist to germany?”. Personally, while I do agree with the fact that Russians should not support war, the way you put it is much more provocative: you are calling Putin supporters bad. I know this has been said many times already, but Scratch is a community that is respectful of all opinions. This means that you can say things like “I don't really agree with _____” as long as you respect the fact that other people can support _____.
I do, however, think that a peace emoji that includes both Russia and Ukraine would be good. Your #StandWithUkraine emoji sides with one side in a war, but a peace emoji sides with both. This emoji would both not be provocative and also support the idea of peace, which is what #StandWithUkraine is pretty much about.
Perhaps something like

It’s not bullying it’s saying I don’t like that people are dying also guess I’m gay and I’ve said rude things before does that mean that we should remove the pride emoji We really should not make emojis for Ukraine because:

The situation is more complicated than everyone here makes it out to be, but I'm just going to quote the thing I wrote for another ukraine post.
Mostly a response to bobcat0701, who keeps comparing the two. To be completely, blatantly honest, I am tired of all the Russo-Ukraine conflict suggestions that have been cropping up recently. We all are aware that it's a hot issue, but those comparing it to BLM and the LGBTQ+ movements are wrong.
Both are issues in society that need to be addressed, yes. I believe we can all mutually agree to that. However, the BLM and LGBTQ+ movements are long term issues, focused primarily on the issue of discrimination, and they concern a considerable portion of Scratch's userbase. Those movements are clear in their purpose of contesting the discrimination of their respective marginalized groups in society.
The Russo-Ukraine conflict, on the other hand, is not a movement, but rather a conflict that has turned violent in the past few days. The motives behind Russia's invasion on Ukraine are more vague, and require a deeper analysis to make sense of. I feel that many Scratchers here do not understand the motives of either side well enough to see reason in both sides. Plus, while the Russo-Ukraine conflict technically started in 2014 with the annexation of Crimea, it is a more temporary issue, especially with the current state of the war.
Such topics should not be announced to a bunch of children on Scratch. BLM and LGBTQ+ go against hate, and aren't necessarily violent in their purpose. The Russo-Ukraine conflict is a different story on the other hand, being a conflict with invasive intentions at its very core.
