Now onto the suggestion…

Windows 11 is out now and I think Scratch Desktop (the Microsoft Store app) could update soon to utilize the new Windows UI guidelines in its app's UI!

I think the app design should adapt to your os.

Win11: Scratch Win11 design
Win10: (possibly a Scratch Win10 design)
Win8: normal design
Win7: aero scratch?
Vista and under: normal design

macOS: whatever design Mac apps have

I think this is a great concept, and you should totally make more.

Edit for clarification: the app should be one whole app with many different designs that adapt to your os. macs will have a seperate app that does that as well.

Actually, the Microsoft Teams app on Windows 11 is also HTML, it uses Edge Webview2 rather than Electron like Scratch, which allows the Microsoft Teams app to have Acrylic, Mica, and the other effects that Windows 11 uses, and all of this via native code, while still being a html web app thanks to Edge Webview. It's not impossible that the Scratch app could switch to Edge Webview instead of electron if this were to be implemented.

If this suggestion were to be implemented, they won't need to redesign it again if Microsoft doesn't change their design principles once again for the next release of Windows.

The new UI looks awesome (I am not on win11 but I have the option to upgrade). It looks better and matches the Windows 11 design effects. To people who say that this is a different editor…think about Microsoft Teams…they made a 2.0 and there is currently 1.0 for Teams on Windows 10. It's different.

We don't know about that….and the next one will take 3 to 5 yr

They won't have to redesign it again if Microsoft doesn't change their design principles once again for the next release of Windows.

The ST aren't obligated to conform to some design principles for an operating system, especially when their application is multi-platform.
