Ban FNAF (Five Nights At Freddy's)
I've actually mediated on reporting FNAF projects a few times, but let me give you the gist of it.
Let me know if I should move this topic to somewhere else, but I thought it'd fit here as I am suggesting it should be banned.
- Five Nights At Freddy's is a horror game: users as young as 5 use Scratch regularly and therefore have probably seen at least one FNAF project.
It's so popular even profile images have FNAF in them.
Let's face it: FNAF even scares (and disturbs) me. And I've seen my finger cut open.
Let me know if I should move this topic to somewhere else, but I thought it'd fit here as I am suggesting it should be banned.

Support. It also disturbs me. My strategy is to just not look at it, though.

I agree. By the way, I've got stitches on my eye, so yeah, FNAF2 scares me too.

Eh… I don't really support. I think yes, scary images / jumpscares should be banned (and they will be if they are too inappropriate and you report them) but seriously, without the load scream / the out-of-nowhere appearance, most of FNAF's sprites aren't that scary.
Maybe ban any animatronic images from the game, but not other sprites in it for sure.

Why pick on just FNAF? There are plenty of other horror games on Scratch that are way scarier in my opinion.

I'd say semi-support - I haven't really seen this around Scratch.
And I used to think this was a song series until I read this post.

No support, horror games can be mentioned on Scratch without being inappropriate.

As much as I do not like it, I do not think that they pose a major threat.
1. Although perhaps they are scary to some, and startling, they do not seem to be as inappropriate as many horror games.
2. If there's too much blood, report it. Anything too creepy will be taken down.
3. Horror, as a genre, is not actually as bad as it seems, it's as bad as it is made. It's a test - to see how well you perform when you are scared or under pressure. Take @-TheCreature- for example. His project is going to be completely appropriate, and fun I bet, too… in all of the previews, I have not seen a single thing that is sketchy, inappropriate, disgusting, or way mature! And that is why I'm looking forward to it! It breaks the bad streak of horror games being inappropriate! FNAF doesn't seem to have quite the record… there are some… problems… with it. Possibly. I have not actually played it. If I see something that's wrong with it, I'll report it. Think about this for example. Doctor Who, if BBC broadcasted it directly on Scratch, it would probably be censored in a heartbeat! However, then look at these Doctor Who fan made projects on Scratch… they aren't at all as bad! So stereotypes cannot be made.

As much as I do not like it, I do not think that they pose a major threat. As per Scratchifier. For the sake of this post (and sanity), let's temporarily assume that FNAF (why not 5NAF?) is in fact inappropriate. That does not mean we should ban all FNAF content. This is an analogy that can be applied to more than FNAF: I think we can all agree that if the actual GTA game was made in Scratch, although that would be extremely awesome / ingenious, it would immediately be taken down. However, that does not mean we ban all content that is featured in, or pertains to, GTA. We should simply ban the content that makes GTA inappropriate.

In conclusion, we should not ban FNAF, but ban the parts that make FNAF scary / inappropriate.
Also, in response to people who have posted about how FNAF scares them despite a plethora of injuries of varying severity (woo, that was a mouthful), having a good stomach for “gore” is not the same as resistance against being frightened, creeped out, or startled

i.e. no support.

Me, I'm not sure; banning FNAF will make a lot of people angry, and I'm not sure if it's completely inappropriate. It's scary, sure, but it doesn't involve shooting the animatronics and having blood splattered all over the place or something like that. But then, it could scare and give a five-year-old nightmares, which isn't a good thing. 0.5 support.

Freedom of speech guys! Shouldn't you ban just projects which reach PG-13? Banning all of the stuff will only make FNAF fans angry and quit Scratch.

although those of us geeky teenagers still are on Scratch…

Thanks for your thoughts on this.
I'm pretty sure there was another topic on this somewhere - but a bit of repetition is good for the typing practice
We're not going to ban all FNAF projects out of hand because we think it is possible to make a project about it without going against the Community Guidelines. We will, of course, continue to moderate the site and hope that if you find *any* projects that you think are inappropriate for Scratch, you will click on the report button and let the moderators know.
But step back a bit and evaluate what you are looking at before deciding. Is it really too scary? Or is it just scary because somebody told you that everything FNAF-related is super scary? Try to be objective.
