WORD WAR WITH @AbbieB1266 (five minutes) I got 173 words )
The tiny legos begin to become alive. The old toys creak as they build themselves up. The child watches, amazed by the creation in front of her eyes. A castle, with a big gate, and guards. The girl opens her mouth, awestruck. A pony nudges her leg, giving her a big smile. Then, a princess waves, her long hair swaying in the wind.
“Hi!” The princess says, “I'm Princess Leia. What's your name, fellow one?”
“I'm Emilia!” The little girl exclaims, “How are you alive?”
“A beautiful magic practice called…imagination!”
Emilia giggles, smiling at the fairies surrounding her, “I wish I was like you!” All of a sudden, Emilia began to shrink down to a fairy size, wings growing out of her back.
“Welcome, fairy!” A pixie laughs joyfully, “You are now one of us. Explore with me! I am Claire.”
“Hello, Claire! I'm Emilia,” She felt the wind blowing across her face lightly. She looked behind her and realized she was flying effortlessly.
“This is a dream come true!” Emilia twirled around.

random story from a word war - 192 words

The quickly moving waters circle the kayak, threatening to tip it over. You wonder why you even decided to go kayaking, since you have no experience, especially in dangerous rapids such as these. The boat nearly capsizes, and you scream in terror. Rain pours around you, and you scream for help, but no one hears. No one is around - how could they? You scream again, hoping this time you will be loud enough to be heard, but no. You frantically tap buttons on your phone, trying to call for help, but nothing works. “NO SIGNAL!” you shout in frustration, “WHY DOES NOTHING EVER WORK OUT HERE!” at least, not when you want it to, that is. You sigh in exasperation, and a single teardrop rolls down your face. The torrent of rain continues around you, and you prepare for the worst. “What if it's a hurricane!?!” you cry out in terror. You squeeze your eyes shut tightly , expecting a waterfall to appear next, what with all your bad luck. But then, miraculously, you reach the end of the rapids, and you are able to go ashore once more, drying yourself off happily.

PROMPT = “your genetics…seem to be…odd.” The doctor bites their lip. “what do you mean?” I inquire, confused.

“Oh..” Dr. Michael said, who was currently doing an x-ray of some sort.
I glanced in his direction. “What?”
“Um.. Just a moment.” He beckoned Katie’s mom.
They walked to the corner of the room. Michael whispered something, waving wildly at the screen with my x-ray. Her mom turned pale.
“Ok, seriously WHAT?” Katie said, freaking out now.
“Honey, we’d better get home now.” She said sharply, exchanging a glance with Michael.
Katie thought that right now it would be best to obey her mom right now. She jumped off the patient table, trying not to run out of the room. As soon as the door closed, she turned to her mom. “Mom, what is going on in there?”
“Not now honey.” she said with that same sharp tone.
I started walking towards the exit, but my mom stopped me.
“Dr. Michael needs to give us something.” she said, each word pushed out like boulders.
I waited, impatient to be out. Finally, he came out, holding a couple papers. He said a stiff bye, then turned and walked back. We walked to the car in silence.
When we got in, my mom heaved a sigh, and started the car.
“Mom, what was that?!?”
She turned towards me. “Look, I can’t explain.”
“What do you mea-”
“Katie!”

I didn’t want to speak, and it was silent for a while. My mom finally broke the tense silence. She turned around.
“Your dad-” her voice broke. “He.. He wasn’t really from around here.”
“Ok, so what?” she said, unnerved.
“He wasn’t from around, well, this planet.”
Katie was speechless. “Wh-What?”
She gave her a sad smile.

“Hold on kiddo, it’s gonna be a long run.”

what is your character's biggest fear? (118 words) - i'd say my character's greatest fear is failure. she's constantly worried about letting other people down. especially her friends. and with the mission that they're on, even the smallest mistake makes her scared that she's gonna to screw everything up and that everybody will hate her for it. she overthinks a lot, and is always critiquing everything she's done. she often thinks that the plans she makes are stup!d and that everybody will think she's weird. at one point, she does make a mistake that kind of messes up their plan they had made. her friends didn't mind that much, but she was worried that they were going to hate her for messing things up and failing.

if your character could receive their deepest desire in exchange of betraying a friend, would they do it? (116 words) - no. my character, once she's developed a strong bond with a person, she becomes very protective and loyal to that person. considering my characters bumpy past, her friends are her favorite people, and the people she loves the most. she would never betray them. even if it meant giving up her own life. even if one of her friends betrayed her, she'd still be hesitant to let them go, or trade them for anything. my character comes to learn that she doesn't need to be famous, or wealthy, or have true love. she's learned that she just needs to be truly happy, have fun, and love herself. and her friends have helped her along that journey.

what kinds of music would your character like? what types of clothing? (115 words) - i feel like my character would have similar music taste to me. she just gives off those kind of vibes. some artists i feel like she would like are lorde, billie eilish, olivia rodrigo, conan gray, taylor swift, doja cat, dua lipa, ariana grande. mainly just pop and indie music. (basically the music i listen to lol). as for clothing, i'd say she likes denim, baggy jeans, cargo, cute crop tops, graphic tees, shorts, printed jeans, hoodies, turtlenecks, blazers, beanies, bucket hats, sweater vests, chunky white sneakers, mary jane's, doc martins, converse, and chunky boots. i've basically made her tastes similar to mine oop. lol. i feel like vsco matches her aesthetic a lot though.

what is one life-changing event your character has experienced? how has it changed them? (113 words) - when my characters mother died. it was a very life-changing event. and it really, really impacted her life. she was living alone for quite a while because of it. she was only 9 years old when her mom died and it was really traumatic. especially the way it happened. every since then, my character has had major trust issues because of that. she's always scared that when she starts to trust someone, they're going to abandon her and betray her. it's another big fear of hers. eventually, she becomes more trusting, and her friends had really helped her. but it took her a while to trust her friends when she first met them.

Main Cabin Daily March 7th

Word Count: 1,063

“What is your character's biggest fear?”
He has two fears that are very closely tied for biggest, so I’m going to go ahead and say both. The first one requires a little backstory.
See, he’s half vampire, and his family shamed him for it. They said he was the shame of the family, and they called him many names, such as halfling.
Logan’s tried his best not to believe it, but part of him wonders if they’re right. He’s scared that he really is a disgrace. That no matter what he does, he’ll only ever be a halfling and nothing more. One of his biggest fears is finding out that his family was right about him all along.
His other fear is losing his girlfriend, Lexi. She means everything to him and he doesn’t know how he could ever go on without her. But he’s going to have to; Lexi is human, and he’s going to outlive her by who knows how long. That’s part of what makes this fear so big. He knows it’s going to happen someday, he just doesn’t know when, and he’s scared it will happen sooner than they expected.
His two fears also combined themselves in to a third one: Lexi suddenly seeing him the way his family always has, and deciding he’s nothing but a disgrace and that he’s not good enough for her. And the thing is, if that happened? He wouldn’t blame her.

“What is one life-changing event your character has experienced? How has it changed them?”
Well, his mom passed away when he was three years old. She was the only person who didn’t look down on him for what he is, because she was a full vampire herself. It was too soon to tell, but I think if she had been around longer things would have been very different for him. He would probably be slightly less insecure, and he might not have even run away. I guess what I’m saying is this changed him in that he no longer had anyone to turn to. He was too young at the time to understand why his family disliked him so, but when he got older and did understand, the fact that he was all alone definitely had a negative impact, and probably play a part in how much of a loner he can be.

“If your character could receive their deepest desire (wealth, health, love, success etc.) in exchange of betraying a friend, would they do it?
Ooh this one is going to get long. First, what is his deepest desire? Easy, having a family that actually cares about him and accepts him. Though what that means has changed for him over the years. Now, the answer to the question…
Once upon a time, yes. Yes, he would have. He would have given everything and than some for this, and if that meant betraying a friend, so be it. He'd feel bad about it, of course. And he'd hesitate before doing so. And he'd surely regret it at some point. But none of that changes the fact that yes, at one point, he would have been willing to betray a friend.
Now, however, he wouldn't do it. I can't say that the thought wouldn't cross his mind, because it probably would. After all, this is what he's wanted for over a hundred years. But there's no way he could actually go through with it. …I don't think. Part of the reason is, as I said, what having a family like this means to him has changed.
Maybe family isn't always just who you're related to.
Maybe sometimes it's your friends.
In this way, if it came down to it, he'd be betraying his family for a family… I think he finally realizes that wouldn't make any sense, and is just wrong.
I kinda want to bring up this time when he moved to Italy and left all his friends behind, but that might be getting slightly off topic, so let's continue.

“What kinds of music would your character like? What types of clothing?”
He likes rock music, mainly, including older rock. Like say, Jim Croce and Bob Seger. On a whole, he leans towards music that's not too peppy and fast, and is somehow relatable. Meaning, if he had a playlist, it'd definitely need a positivity boost. And it's probably contain more love songs than he's willing to admit. And he's definitely not going to admit that some of his favorite songs are from Disney movies.
As for clothing, casual and dark clothing. Mostly dark jeans and black t-shirts. If he has to dress nice, he'll complain at first, but he's actually surprisingly comfortable in dress shirts and pants depending on the occasion, as that's what he grew up with. If he is dressing nicer like this, he might even go for blue or red instead of black. Which, for him, is ridiculously cheery.

“What does your character value most in a friend?”
For Logan, it’s important that a friend accepts him for who he is, specifically, what he is. Someone who doesn’t have the same prejudices his family does, and thus won’t treat him unfairly for something he can’t control. Someone who won’t think less of him when they find out what he’s had to do to survive over the years. Or maybe they will think less of him; but even if so, they’ll still stick by his side.
He values trustworthiness. He’s been betrayed before and can’t have that happen again.
All in all, he values the ability to see a person for who they are, not what they are or what they’ve done.

“What is your character's greatest weakness?”
This one took a minute. Logan is pretty powerful, and I've actually had to back off a few times to keep him from being op. Technically, his biggest weakness might be garlic. He can't shapeshift when around a large enough quantity, and it likely to throw up and/or pass out if he eats it.
When it comes down to it, though, his biggest weakness might actually be his lack of faith in himself. He manages to act confident a lot of times, but he's actually really insecure and constantly afraid he's going to screw up and live up to his family's expectation that he's just a disgrace. This, combined with how fast he is to mistrust others, and his recklessness, is what's gotten him in to the most trouble.
Actually, his recklessness probably stems from this insecurity, since a lot of times he just plain doesn't care.
Correction, it's not just insecurity, he low key really doesn't like himself.
And I feel like if I keep going, I'm just going to go in rambling circles, so we'll stop here.

Random Story line- Should I continue it? Horror story, of course!

The Window of Magic -

I stared at my reflection in the mirror, and the long, brown hair and blue eyes stared back at me. “I wish is a strong sentence” I muttered towards my reflection. “One you really shouldn't use without needing it. So I won't really mean it when I say I wish I was a new person.” I couldn't move, and just stared straight at the mirror. “Honey! Come on down for dinner!” I started at my Mother's voice. “Sorry, mom, I was lost in thought!!” I yelled back. “I'll, uh, be there in just a moment!” I looked back to the mirror, intending to cover it up with a sheet, or something to cover it fully. I knew if I didn't, I'd just go straight back to it. While I was looking around the room, I noticed a glint in the mirror. I looked closer, and discovered it was a window. ‘That’s strange.' I thought. ‘I don’t remember ever having a window there. Hmm. I'll think about it later.' “HUN, I'M GETTING A BIT ANNOYED!” My Mom yelled from downstairs. I looked up from what I was doing; trying to unlock the window. “Um, Yea, mom? I'm going to the bathroom!” I lied. “I be down in a minute!” “Oh, you are? Okay, then, don't be to long!” she responded. “Yea, yea! I won't” I yelled back at her. I had that guilty feeling, but it was fine. I needed to know what was behind the window! Snap- the window was opened! I went through, and–

5 minutes later…

“Hun?” I asked. She was taking to long in the bathroom. “Hun, I'm coming up to check on you!” I walked up the stairs, towards my sons room. “Hun, your getting me worried!” I walked into my son's room and stopped dead in my tracks. There, on the far wall, was the window. The window that took my sister away from me. The window that's now also taken my son…

I hope you enjoyed this little adventure, and let me know if you want me to continue this ‘Horrifying’ story! Get, it? I'm in horror- nevermind, 360 words!!!

Daily 3/7/22

“What is your character's biggest fear?”
Zuri’s afraid of being alone. Not alone in a room, but of truly being alone. She’s practically the princess of the rebellion, and she loves it. That said, she’s also afraid of losing it all. While she might be sheltered, she’s also well aware of the risks her parents, her friends, her mentors, and occasionally herself take. She knows it could all come crashing down on top of her. She also knows that her ability will allow her to survive, even force her to survive, no matter the cost. She can always turn back time in the split second before her own death, but she can never save everyone else. She’s afraid of what can happen, what will happen to her not if, but when her world falls apart, leaving her all alone.

“How would your character solve the trolley problem?”
Ah, so this one is a bit tricky, given Zuri’s particular talents. She is a time twister, meaning that she can manipulate the flow of time. Despite how powerful this makes her, her power has it’s limits, and she cannot change death. She’s too good a person to let the five people die, knowing that it would happen, but she could also never knowingly be a direct reason for someone else’s death. While she would undoubtedly do everything in her power to protect everyone and stop the trolley, if she couldn’t, she would find a way to live with herself knowing she sacrificed one person’s life to save five others. She would, of course, spend far too long reflecting on that decision and regretting that she couldn’t save everyone. But if it came down to it, she would have to do it.

“If your character could receive their deepest desire (wealth, health, love, success etc.) in exchange of betraying a friend, would they do it?”
Absolutely not. Zuri’s deepest desire is arguably a true friend, and her only friends are indeed incredibly close to her, and fantastic friends. She might be practically a princess of her own kind, but she would never betray one of her friends for a true friend. She considers her friends to be her closest companions and most trusted confidants. It helps that as a child of the rebellion, she doesn’t exactly have a lot of other young people to keep her company, but even if she was a typical child, she would never betray a friend. Despite her background, she is far too good of a person to intentionally hurt someone that way, especially for her own gain. It’s why she’ll make a perfect leader.

“What is your character's greatest weakness?”
Zuri’s greatest weakness is her pride. She might have incredible self-confidence and an extraordinary amount of talent, but her pride remains a delicate thing. Somewhat unfortunately for her, she’s smart, smart enough to know when someone is hiding something from her, smart enough to know when something’s wrong and no one wants to tell her, smart enough to know when someone is doubting her. She’s well aware of almost everything that goes on around her, and while she puts on an excellent show of being innocent and unsuspecting, she knows too much. Aside from all this, she’s undeniably proud of her talents, her achievements, and herself in general. That said, her pride is too untested, and she’s far too used to being right, to having everything go her way. What will happen when it all comes crashing down?

Fairytales
prompt: A love story between a potato and a lizard
Word count: 510 words

Hi. I'm spuds. All potatoes are named that, Like how all red oaks are named red, all maples are named maple, and all spruce trees are named sprues. I have a pretty ordinary. Well, I HAD a pretty ordinary life until a charming lizard, Leonardo, came up to me. “Hey Spuds,” he said in a lizardy voice. It was odd. Most of us potatoes don't have any form of love life but that moment made me rethink that. He was a very charming male lizard and I was a very lonely potato. We talked all night, Then I realized, I was in love with a lizard. Yeah, I know. It's a very odd love life but I was into the lizard. His green scales, charming voice, and beady little eyes had me falling for him. It was pretty close to valentines day so might as well not keep it a secret.

I went to talk with my crow friend, Soda can. Crows are different when it comes to names. They usually name themselves after something they like and go through many names. Soda can loves soda cans. She gets the residue from the cans and perches in her favorite branch she called “PC”. She sits there with her can tops and bottle caps hid in the smallest hollow in Willow. Back to the main topic, I told Soda can about my love crisis. “WHAT IN LOVE WITH A-” she paused as the opossums emerged from Willows's second-biggest hollow. The smallest, named Falling branches came out of hiding first. We both went quiet. “Mom, What was all that noise?” each of the babby opossums asked one by one, even after their mother, Demon, told them the answer. (all opossums are named after fears) They eventually fell back asleep and I asked Soda can to write him a letter. It took her a moment but decided. we just had to wait until morning

It was the morning before valentines day and a girl who looked like she was in 5th or 6th grade tossed a heart-shaped note into the trash, very grumpy. I sprung into action and got Soda can to fish it out. He scratched out the names and replaced them with Leonarsio and Spud. We delivered it and just had to wait. Soda can also put in a heart-shaped paper clip into the deal. We just had to wait. I just sat being a potato. I chilled until midnight when everything should go perfectly. Just like the plan, Leonadio came and it did not go how I hoped. Instead of us being like a couple, He said that we should not be together since he already had a girlfriend. I was devastated. Then, it happened. Just after the heartbreak happened, I was tossed into a truck with many other potatoes. Well, that's my fate. Time to become a french fry. That's the end of my potato life. I was tossed into a bag and had nothing interesting happen. That was my fate. To sit in a bag. Guess that's the end

THE END

Word war (with -cityniqht )

I stared out the window as rain poured outside. I was gloomy and unhappy. I so wanted to run outside and spalsh in the puddles, but… I didn't feel in the mood for it. Not yet. I hesitated before pulling out my phone and checking my texts for the millionth time to see if he'd replied. He hadn't. I only texted him an hour ago, but still… I wished he would respond. I just wanted him to know I liked him, but what if he didn't like me back?

Daily March 7th:

The character I've selected: Rose Windsor

Total words: 520 words

What's your character's worst fear? (134 words)

Rose's greatest fear is failing or getting expelled from school. As a smart kid, she hates to disappoint teachers and her parents. As a kid, she was yelled at from this big kid who asked for help on a test yet failed. Even then, Rose was known as smart, and this kid thought they would succeed, so when they did fail, they started being mean to Rose, and just became a bully. Even if she doesn't go to school with them anymore, she still thinks about them, and that's what pushes her to succeed. This also means she has a fear of her best friend, Lily Kittenpuff, turning on her if she leaves her to fail. Rose has never actually gotten under a B-, but, she still dreads the day that she will fail.

What is one life-changing event your character has experienced? How has it changed them? (145 words)

Well, it would probably be when she learned about her water manipulation power. She used to be normal, trying hard in school, trying to avoid popularity, and just being a kid. But, when she learned about her powers and accidentally revealed it to the school, everyone was watching with “Ooh”s and “Aww”s. She was getting the opposite of what she wanted, attention. Everyone kept saying “Come on, do it again!” She finally had enough. She ran away, trying to find a school for those like her. When she learned about power school, she decided to go there. There, she learned more about powers, learned more in general, and made more friends. But, it also costed leaving her family. But, her friends almost acted like a whole other family, a family of her dreams. So, overall, this actually had a positive impact on her.

If your character could receive their deepest desire (wealth, health, love, success etc.) in exchange of betraying a friend, would they do it? (114 words)

Well, first of all, her desire would be to publish a successful story. But, she wouldn't betray her friend. Even though she really, really, really wants to publish a book, she would never betray those who she loves most! She cares about her friends more than her family. They've helped her stay on the right track, while she did the same for them. Nothing could get her to think differently. Especially, if she were to lose her best friend, Lily. They've known each other since Kindergarten. Through the years, Rose taught Lily a few tricks about learning, while Lily made sure Rose didn't get too caught into her schooling and acted like a kid.

What does your character value most in a friend? (127 words)

Rose for sure values someone who acts like a kid. As one who is too caught in the academic part of life, she keeps forgetting to be a kid and play. She sometimes wastes her childhood. Having a friend who knows how to act like a kid, play, run around, and joke, she gets that good balance. Lily's a great example! Lily is known as an innocent, energetic, childish girl, and Rose is kind of lacking those traits. Lily has helped Rose be more active and act young and silly like any other kid. She also values a friend who is willing to listen. Rose has many things to say, mostly educational things, so one who can listen and is willing to learn, Rose really likes that.

woohoo, more writing! 772 words in total

daily, for the seventh, after a while- Elena from my exerpt and weekly :D

What is your character's biggest fear? (192 words)

My characters biggest fear is not knowing what to do and being alone. When she doesn't know what to do she is panicked, since she is a slight control freak. Okay, a pretty big control and organization freak because she needs her life in order after a car accident. Though luckily everyone in the car, her family survived, the mistake in navigation kept S her on her toes to be in control. I am totally not making up my characters lore on the spot no no no not at all, haha. And when she is alone, and not in control, she is even more freaked out. Obviously for the previous reasons, if she isn't ready to face something, she is cowering before the unknown, which she hates to do. And when she is alone, she doesn't have anybody to figure it out with, hence why she ends up going around the neighborhood and calling to find signs of other people left. This is also why she is so darn freaked out when she finds herself the only person in her house, and seemingly her town, and the world except for the two twins.

What is the one thing that makes your character tick? (156 words)

Annoying people and not knowing what to do! Oh, and a certain song that was playing when the car crashed causing her to be superstitious! (part of the lore I came up with on the spot!) Plus, plastic spoons screeching across the table. Isn't that just so annoying? Annoying people to her are unorganized, and you now why she hates that and my lore behind it, even if this is just turning into me using that lore as a preface for all of my other things. And not knowing what to do I also explained already, and she needs to be prepared. All of these reasons are why she is so freaked out at the beginning of the story, why she wants to know everything from her great aunt, and is so relieved when she finds out her great aunt is still out there and can help, and more importantly, knows what is going on.

If your character could receive their deepest desire (wealth, health, love, success etc.) in exchange of betraying a friend, would they do it?

totally didn't accidentally delete it and then not have it in my clipboard so I had to write it again :DDD (212 words)

Okay, so my first reaction was like, WHAT?! NO, absolutely not! NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO! But then I thought about it again, and said you know what? Maybe! It could be something really important to her! What if it were something related to the lore that I totally didn't make up on the spot? I think she might have done it if it guaranteed safety for her and her family! Or maybe if it promised that the thing that made everyone but her and the twins disappear would never happen again and her life would be great and her family would be safe! But I think it also depends on which friend. So far, I haven't really given her many friends, and have considered the possibility of making her home schooled. But I don't know. But she really isn't that close to the twins, or yet at least, and I don't know if she will be, since the story is still coming along. Or maybe it's not safety, and I give her some love interest with some other person left on the planet! I don't know! I think that actually sounds rather interesting! But I do know it will be very exciting, that's for sure! Who knows what could happen…

What kinds of music would your character like? What types of clothing? (102 words)

I would say lime green sweater/comfy shirt, you know what I mean, with like, positive vibes written on it in gold, or a flower (daisy?) in gold, or just plain. Light jeans, slightly ripped on the knee, and a phone. As for types of music elena likes, I would say pop music and some classical. Or instrumental pop, is what I'm thinking. I would like her to go around with white wired headphones (like not wireless airpods ) in an Ipod. But that's on a normal day. And you can also see things from my other daily, the character aesthetic one.

The first modern vending machine was introduced in the early 1800’s, an English innovation by Percival Everitt that dispensed post cards. By 1883, the machines were a widespread feature of railway stations and post offices throughout England. Now, approximately 15 million vending machines are in use worldwide, although almost half of these appliances are found in America. Vending machines are typically offer novelty food items, the most common being packaged food and drink. However, as it stands, vending machines can be attributed as the cause of at least four critical injuries in America alone per year.
Although Vending machines have some benefits; Fast and convenient snacking options, no staff required to operate the machines, and are an effective, low-cost appliance for workplaces, vending machine’s impact on society is largely a detrimental one. A recent study by the Mango Bureau of statistics suggested that 100% of vending-machine-related injuries were caused by vending machines. Between the years of 2002 and 2015, it was recorded that almost all reported accidental deaths involving vending machines in the US were caused by the customer tipping the machine over onto themselves. Reportedly, there is a higher likelihood of death inflicted via vending machines than that of aggressive marine species, notably sharks. Not only are vending machines a likely cause of injury, they also promote unhealthy snacking. One survey in the United States found that vending machines in middle schools and high schools contain items that pose a risk to consumers health; about are 75% of the drinks and 85% of the snacks sold are of poor nutritional value. Although vending machines contribute to only a fraction of the calories we consume, removing them from schools and workplaces would initiate change and mindful snacking elsewhere. The destructive impacts of vending machines on society are the cause of unnecessary damage to health.
To conclude, vending machines should be removed from use in all settings, due to their nature as a likely cause of harm, from both falling vending machines and selling goods lacking nutritional value. This can be viewed as a significant hazard to civilians, who are often insufficiently educated on the risks of vending machines. An alternate solution that has been proposed to substitute vending machines was offered by the MBS (Mango bureau of statistics) in which vending machines were replaced by a more sustainable option for the future; Allowing Granny’s healthy cookies™ to be delivered by willing citizens for low costs. Another viable solution was suggested by SWS Team (Scratch writing swamp) In which Mango’s, goats, guitars, pineapples, ect would all be available free of charge to stimulate healthy snacking.

hi this is my daily for SWS (total not including Qs : 567 words)

““What is your character's biggest fear?”” (205 words)

My character Willow, is not a fictional character. sure, she goes on adventures in the underground world, becomes a dragon and was once possesed by a spirit, but the real willow inspiration was my self. Willow’s twin, Owlie Is a real life person too. In fact, you can visit her right now! (@srijani18). Her best friend? She’s as real as h3ll too! Go check her out on (@lizzy-golden). And yara, the scaredy but sweet one? She exists, and she’s (@-blackcatsforever-). Anyways what willow fears most in real life is what I fear in real life. Losing someone you love. After losing her Rabbits, she always fears losing someone important to her. She is also deeply afraid of what might happen to her if she experienced the same grief again, convinced that she wouldn’t survive mentally with another devastating heartbreak, as her heart was already split into a million of little pieces, with sharp, piercing edges that digs deeper into her skin every time she thinks of her Rabbits and the vital mistake she made the night they died.though they may sound like normal rabbits, thye were a huge chunk of willow’s life, and went they went, they took a piece of willow’s heart with them.

“What is one life-changing event your character has experienced? How has it changed them?” (171 words)

One life-changing experience willow has gone through is when she was possessed by a spirit in the dark room owlie led them into. Find the whole story here (). Despite her friends’ protests, she still believed she was the cause that owlie entered the room in the first place. When she was possessed by the spirit, it had litrally mingled with her soul, enabling her to take life away from anyone just by a single glance. lisa not knowing about this, had pushed willow , asking her to open her eyes an guide them out. In anger over the fact they were shouting at her when she was trying to protect them, she had slashed out in anger and opened her eyes, thus taking away the soul of the two who were not of her own blood. In simple word, taking the soul of lisa and yara since owlie shared blood with her. Even after all those years, she still regrets her choices, thus creating her biggest fear and greatest weakness.

“What kinds of music would your character like? What types of clothing?” (43 words)

Willow defiantly likes pop and country music. Rock would be okay too. She’d also wear jeans and jackets , since she hates wearing dresses. Frilly monsters. (plus she’d also look very good in jeans hehe). willow would also probably wear dark colors or have a dark(ish) theme to help blend in, so maybe a white shirt and black jacket.

“What is your character's greatest weakness?” (58 words)

Explained in the answer on Q2, willow’s weakness is deifently harming her friends because despite the spirit leaving her when they saw light, she still feels a little voice in her head, a wrench in her soul and often finds herself daydreaming about m3rdure, leading her to belive that a fragment of that spirit is still inside her.

word war with @Stormy_Brook!! (416 words, feel free to check)

“willow it’s your turn” said owlie.
“what? OH YES! Sorry I zoned out lol” said i.
“you’ve been zoning out a lot I’m worried” said owlie.
“pfft please. You’re a scaredy cat, owlie.” I scoffed.

It was a normal Saturday afternoon, and the four had been called to school for detention. They all were good students, but willow had accidently kocked over the water tank and a school kid snitched on owlie for helping people with their tests. Yara had volunteered to come to keep her friends company. Lisa aprently had dress code detention. They were playing truth and dare.

“to think of that, I dare you to go to the third floor corridor!” I said gleefully.
My twin’s mouth fell open. Nobody went to the third floor corridor. It was said to be haunted.
“isn’t it haunted?” said lyra worriedly.
“nope. Those are rumours” said i.
“I won’t go!” shouted owlie.
“You have to! We’ll go with you!” I pleaded and we all stood up. After a lot of persuading we managed to get owlie to the third floor.
She was in the front, I was behind her and yara was last. When we entered from the staircase, I felt un-naturraly cold. There were windows everywhere and I could see as clear as day . weird.
As soon as yara entered the corridor, the lights went out and we were pushed into the corridor. We all screamed and tried to run back, but when we looked back we couldn’d see the door. Weird. It was just there. How did it disappear?
In utter darkness, none dared to move. We were sure this corridor and these classrooms were haunted now. I tried to comfort owlie, who had started crying.
“owlie it’s okay we’ll find a way to escape!” I pleaded.
“escape? Escape? WILLOW VIRGINA THEODORA MALFOY!” she shouted and in that moment she looked so much like our mother that I took a fightned step back. Who’s the scaredy cat now, said the voice in my head.
“YOU LANDED US IN THIS HELL-HOLE AND YOU SAYD ITS GONNA BE OKAY? OKAY? SHAME N YOU! I’M DONE WITH YOU!” owlie was scary now, and I was almost glad when she stomped in the nearest classroom. Before I remmembred that these rooms were hauted and we shouldn’t separate.
Too late now, Owlie entered the room and the door closed with a bang. Not long after, there was a screm from the other side and the dakness closed in.

Part 1: Poetry

Music - Haiku

Do you hear music
Flowing through your soul sweetly
Filling you with joy?

Running to the Moon - Ballad

The night rose and out she peaked
Afraid of darkness and light
Afraid to be seen
Afraid to be heard
Afraid for others to know who she is

Her only friend is the moon overhead
So silent and still
No thoughts in its hearts

The world had turned its back on her before
So she turned her back on them

But the moon was so consistent
So reliable
It shone for her every night

So she danced through the night
And ran to the moon as her only source of light

Heroes - Limerick

We dream of someone who will soar so high
Someone who will help us when the time is nigh
We wait half patiently, trying to hold back our screams
But never think it could be us in our wildest dreams
“If only someone could achieve our dreams” we sigh

SWC - Acrostic

Since we learned to write we’ve been wondering
Where can I go to find inspiration? Until SWC
Came along, and there was finally a place where we could feel like we were home

A Walk in My Minds - Free Verse

Wouldn’t be nice to walk through our minds sometimes
To just take time to see what’s going on inside
Sometimes I’d wonder what I would find
If I were to walk inside mine

Things would pop out from out of nowhere
Things I wonder, things I worry, and things I remember
Thoughts would seem to fly around
Waiting to be picked up a read

And in the corner, there would be an entire symphony
Playing the songs I love to her
Broadway, Band, and Disney
Encanto music - Let’s go

A million world would coexist in the back
Completely unaware that the others exist
Magical worlds with their own special stories
And some goatarist maybe

Another section would be kind of organized
With the things I need to get done
Homework, music practice, and church things
That all relate to me

I wonder if I’d have the power to control what’s inside
Could I add a zipline
Or a three-story slide maybe?

Then last, but not least
In the center of my brain
Would be what I hold so dear to me
All of my friends and family
With great control over everything else
And guiding me to who I want to be

All those I love very close to me
And determining everything I do

That is what I think I would see
If I took a walk through my brain

Part 2: Essays

Don’t you love music? Don’t you ever wish that you could be the one creating the music you hear? About 13% of people ages 16 to 24 correctly play a musical instrument. While playing a musical instrument is looked upon as merely a hobby, there are many benefits to learning to play one. Thus said, band is the best elective that schools offer. Band exercises parts of a student’s brain that are not used in any other class, teaches students responsibility, and is a great place to learn how to work together and make friends.
The college application examination board reports having noticed that students involved in school music programs tend to score around 107 points higher on their SATs than students who are not involved. While this may seem like a coincidence, there is evidence behind it. Band exercises parts of students’ brains that are not used in any other class. A study shows that kids who learned how to play an instrument at a young age had dramatically increased abstract thinking. These skills made it easier for those kids to understand chess, math, science, and engineering. Another study shows that kids who learn how to play an instrument have an easier time learning new languages. Band also teaches students responsibility. A lot of work goes into learning how to play with a band. One part of this is learning how to play your part in a song. Kids in band are held accountable for practicing their parts at home so band rehearsals run smoothly. Also, band includes many after-school events, that the students are expected to show up promptly for. Students are even expected to arrive before a call time. Therefore, students in band have to learn how to be responsible and manage their time. Lastly, band helps students learn how to work as a team, which eventually leads to great friendships. Many people don’t realize how much teamwork is in band. Members of a band have to listen across and make changes to their volume and articulation to blend with the rest of the band. Plus, if one kid plays perfectly but every other kid messes up, you aren’t making music, you’re making a mess. The real magic of band comes when everybody plays correctly, and blends together to make a masterpiece. As a consequence of the students working together, they make amazing friends in band. A study shows that students in band have improved social climate, are happier in school, and are less stressed. Plus students in band typically have a better influence on others than students in other programs. One study shows that kids in a music program report the lowest amount in drug and alcohol usage.
Overall, band is the best elective a kid can be in. It improves their learning, leadership, and teamwork skills. Plus, it is a place where students can just have fun. More kids should sign up for band and learn how to play amazing songs with others.

Part 3: Scripts

Original
Suddenly The Lizard Man patted my back. “Well done Thomas,” he applauded in his crisp British accent. “You’ve helped out a lot.”
I studied the Lizard Man, his scaly body, red eyes, and secret agent gear clipped onto a belt around his waist (if lizards had a waist). He seemed to have every child’s dream job, yet he never played around. He carried the world’s fate on his shoulders so well you couldn’t help but respect him. I felt like I had gone through a lot after one crisis, yet this amazing guy, I mean lizard, had done it hundreds of times already.
“Sir,” I mumbled, sort of sheepishly, knowing that I was asking a really dumb question, but it had been bothering me ever since I met him. “I know… well… You’re such a cool person. Where did those stories of you attacking cars come from? I mean, why do you let those stories live on? If everyone saw you for who you are…”
“They can’t,” The Lizard Man cut off. “Plus, that isn’t what matters. You should do what’s right, even if no one is watching. It doesn’t matter what people think of you, because a lot of times it isn’t true.” His British accent made him sound like a mentor in one of those hero movies, except a lizard.
“Wow, you sound really wise,” I replied lamely, as I tried to process what he had just told me. Once I said it I instantly regretted it.
But instead of mocking me, he laughed lightheartedly and said, “I guess you learn some stuff when you’re an immortal lizard.” He began to seem uneasy though, as if he was hiding something. He stood still for a few moments, and then, as if snapping out of a trance, laughed, “Well I guess I don’t need spy vision now.” He said it so suddenly and out of the blue that I jumped back.
He reached towards his glowing red eyes and pulled out a device, that he apparently had been wearing every time I’d seen him. What was even more startling were his pure gray eyes that undoubtedly held many secrets. I’d always thought that The Lizard Man’s eyes were naturally red due to genetic modification, so I was taken aback by those colorless eyes.
The Lizard Man laughed at my visible shock. “This device helps me see things that normal eyes can’t” he explained with a smile. Suddenly, his eyes froze and he looked somewhat uneasy again. He looked forlornly into the clearing again, and I knew he was hiding something.
“Are you alright sir?” I prodded gently, trying not to upset him more.
“Yeah,” he weakly managed, though he still didn’t look alright. “Why don’t we go back to the office and close this matter up.” When he said that his eyes began looking a lot more uneasy.

Back at headquarters, I sat in a swivel chair right across from The Lizard Man, who still looked on edge. I glanced around the brightly lit room and glass walls that show a 360-degree view of the surrounding swamp. It felt so strange for there to be such a nice building in the middle of unexplored swampland.
After several moments, I awkwardly broke the silence. “So… um sir… What did you want to talk about?”
“Well,” he started, sounding uncertain for the first time. And then he stopped for a while, but I just sat there quietly and waited for him to continue. I felt tension build as I sat there staring at his big gray eyes. It must have been something serious if he was having such a hard time saying it. “You see…”
Suddenly it hit me. It was the same thing I’d spent all this time trying not to think about. “It’s about the old man, isn’t it?” I blurted out. “I should have captured him when I had the chance. I just was surprised and not thinking…”
“Don’t worry about that,” He hushed. “You did better than most people would have in that situation. Plus I’m not worried about him right now. It’ll be a while before he strikes again.”
“I’ll still help you get him,” I stated. Strangely, as I let myself think about him, I wasn’t afraid like I thought I would be. Instead, I felt determined to defeat him.
“No you won’t,” the lizard man said, and his eyes suddenly became very forlorn. “You see, I can’t let you remember this.”
I waited for him to start laughing and call out “fooled you”, but he never did. He just stared at me grimly. I felt my stomach sink. “What do you mean you can’t let me remember this?” I asked uneasily as a million thoughts flew around my head.
The Lizard Man’s face started to firm up, and he looked less bewildered than before. “I guess I should start from the beginning,” he sighed. “ You know the car attacking rumors, right? It all started with Cristopher Davis, the first person I asked to aid me. He’s also the one who started the rumors about me. It was a great cover-up for him and kept people from figuring out the truth. It scared them enough that they didn’t explore my territory. He was a great kid, just like you. But one day he got greedy and stole some spy tech. He didn’t know how to take care of the gear so they ended up exploding…” his voice started to choke up and tears filled his eyes. “…And he died.” A this point his face was covered in tears and his voice was cracking. “I can’t let that happen to you.”
“But I’m not like him,” I insisted, though I heard my voice falter. “I’d never steal your equipment.”
“Still,” The Lizard Man soothed, “It’s safer for you and the rest of the world.”
I felt tempted to fight back and run away, but when I looked into his pained eyes I knew I had to submit. It was already so hard for him, and I couldn’t make it harder.
“So I’ll just wake up with amnesia about the last few days of my life,” I mumbled while avoiding eye contact.
“Not exactly,” he replied with a fairly steady voice. “It’s more like you’ll have replacement memories. They usually include something about being attacked by The Lizard Man.”
“So I won’t remember any of this,” I looked around the office, possibly for the last time.
“No,” he replied grimly. Then, when he saw my face drop he added, “Remember what I said earlier about it not mattering how people remember you, only who you really are?”
“Yeah,” managed to get out. That seemed so long ago, when I wasn’t about to lose all my memories.
“I meant that. Even if you don’t remember saving the world, it’s a part of you now.”
“Yeah,” I said, forcing a smile and said the words that surrendered my memories of the last few days of my life to who knows where. “Let’s go.”

Script

(Thomas is stanking on a rock in the middle of the swamp holding a tiny item. There is no noise whatsoever, and Thomas is clearly lost in thought. The Lizardman walks up silently behind him)

Lizardman: Well done Thomas

Thomas: I’m just glad it’s over. I don’t know how you do this all the time. I can’t imagine having to carry the fate of the world on your shoulder 24/7.

Lizardman: I guess you just get used to it.

(awkward pause)

Thomas: Yeah… Um… Sir… I know this is kind of off-topic, but it’s been kind of bothering me.

Lizardman: Go ahead Thomas

Thomas: Well… What are the Lizardman legends about? I mean, why are there stories about you attacking cars when you’re working to save the world. People should honor you, not be afraid of you. Why don’t you just tell everyone the truth?

Lizardman: (blurt out) They can’t! Plus, I don’t do this for recognition, I do this because it’s the right thing to do.

Thomas: It would still be nice for people not to think of you as some evil, car-destroying maniac though.

(Lizardman suddenly change the subject)

Lizardman: Well I guess I don’t need my spyware anymore

(Lizardman takes off red contacts for the first time to reveal stunning blue eyes)

Thomas: Woah, you’re eyes aren’t actually red!

Lizardman: (chuckling good-naturedly) You thought my eyes were naturally red. No, these gadgets just help me see hidden clues.

(The Lizardman’s mood visibly shifts suddenly. He stares into the clearing and sighs.)

Thomas: Sir… Are you alright?

Lizardman: (forced) Yeah. Let’s… go back to headquarters and wrap this case up.

Thomas (a bit uneasy) Alright Sir.

(Lizardman and Thomas walk off stage)

(Blackout)

(We are now in a modern-looking office with glass walls with futuristic gadgets hanging from hooks along the walls. Strangely the view is in the middle of swampland with no other civilization around. Thomas and the Lizardman are sitting on the opposite sides of a desk in a very formal way.)

Thomas: So… um… sir, what did you want to talk about?

Lizardman: (holding back tears) Well… you see…

Thomas: This is because the old man got away, isn’t it? I tried to stop him but…

Lizardman: No, this isn’t about that.

Thomas: I’ll capture him still. I promise.

Lizardman: (uneasily) Actually… you won’t

Thomas: Of course I will. I’ll…

Lizardman: No, you won’t… because I can’t let you remember this.

Thomas: What do you mean you can’t let me remember this?

Lizardman: Let me start from the beginning. You asked why people thought I destroy cars. Well, here’s the real reason. It all started with Cristopher Davis, the first person I asked to aid me. He’s also the one who started the rumors about me. We worked out that cover-up story to stop suspicions and it scared them enough that they didn’t explore my territory. (start getting emotional) He was a great kid, just like you. But that’s a lot of information to carry by yourself. He got mad at me one day and stole some of my supplies. He stole some of my supplies, but he didn’t store them at the right temperature. (completely crying now) They exploded… and he died. I can’t let the same thing happen to you.

Thomas: But I’m not like him. I would never steal your supplies.

Lizardman: I can’t risk it.

Thomas: I could help though. There’s still so much that still needs to be done. I could help. You wouldn’t have to be all alone.

Lizardman: That’s the same thing Christopher said.

Thomas: (angry) So you are just going to…

(Thomas sees the pain in the Lizardman’s eyes and realizes that the Lizardman is struggling with this enough. He decides to pretend that he understands to make this easier on the Lizardman.)

Thomas: (calmly) So I’ll just wake up with amnesia and won’t remember this past week.

Lizardman: Not exactly. There will be a replacement memory, probably along the lines of being attacked by me.

Lizardman: (comforting) Hey, remember what I said about how being a hero isn’t about recognition. You’ll still be a hero, even if you don’t remember what you did.

Thomas: Yeah, I guess. (sigh) Let’s go.

Part 4 - Nonfiction:

Random Journal about Wednesday Because Why Not

I woke up at 5:45 am that morning, 15 minutes earlier than usual, but I didn’t mind because I was so excited. We were going on a field trip that day, and I was so excited. It had been so long since I’d gone on a field trip. There still was a rule about not going on field trips because it wasn’t safe during covid, but the district made an exception about this field trip. We were going to one of the high schools for a big ASB meeting. It was mainly for high schools, but they invited the middle schools so we could learn what high school ASB was like.
Well, I was clearly excited because I was ready 30 minutes before we had to leave. So, I played piano for twenty minutes (which is my favorite thing to do.) We got an Encanto book that week, so I played around I sight-read “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”. Then it was time to go. I met in the ASB room and grabbed a bandana since the event was Pixar-themed, and our school chose Toy Story.
Once we got to the event it was pretty fun. We got to learn from high schools and see what techniques they used at pep rallies. It was really cool. It was also really hot. We were outside on the football field and it was around 80-90 degrees outside. But it was great to see what we would do in the future if we continue with ASB (which I’m not planning on doing. Band and ASB are hard to do at the same.)
After the field trip, I went to drumline. (No I am not really a percussionist. I play flute and am learning French horn in band. Drumline is an afterschool club and it is really fun. And yeah, I only went to my after-school class B).) At drumline, we packed instruments in our teacher’s car for a concert our band had that night.
After drumline, I went home and did my study guide for history since we had a test in history tomorrow.
That night we had a pre-festival concert at the high school (not the one I spent the whole school day at.) It was so much fun! I love concerts! Our band played the song Fire Dance by David Shaffer, Cheyenne by Michael Story, and Jungle Dance by Brian Balmages. (I would recommend listening to those songs. They are so good.)
It went really well. In Jungle Dance I played vibes and temple blocks (Ok, so I play a little bit of percussion) and I love those parts. Also, I convinced my best friend to come so I got to see her!
Overall, Wednesday was a really fun and really busy day.

Book Review (Thank you 6139ash for the idea)

The book Goose Girl by Shannon Hale is completely underrated. This book is based on one of the Grimm Brother’s lesser-known stories, you guessed it, Goose Girl. However, this book creates a completely original kingdom and creates some new plot lines. The story starts made up in a made-up land with many. The main character, Ani, is a princess of one of the kingdoms, Kildenzee. When she was young she learned she had a gift with animal speaking, especially when it came to geese and horses. One day, her mother made a deal with the kingdom Bayern with an arranged marriage. Ani is forced to travel to Bayern to marry a guy she has never met.
Along the way, her handmaiden turns the whole travel party against Ani and she is forced to flee for her life. Meanwhile, her handmaiden pretends to be Ani so that she can marry the prince and be royalty.
Eventually, Ani decides that if she is going to survive, she needs to get a job. She hides in plain sight as an ordinary citizen and becomes the royal goose girl. During her time there she learns she has another gift, wind speaking.
After a couple of months, she meets the prince she was going to marry and falls in love with him. She decides to stand up to her handmaiden once and for all.
This is an intriguing story with many turns you do not see coming and is written beautifully. It is perfect for anyone in fourth grade or older. The story is written in a very eloquent style that flows perfectly and has amazing characters that you will fall in love with. This story keeps you on your toes and makes you wonder what will happen next. It is a must-read.
This book is part of a series called The Books of Bayern, but none of the other books come close to as good as this and are quite a bit darker. Although, Enna Burning has an amazing ending. I haven’t read River Secrets or Forest Born yet, but if you have feel free to tell me how they are (I really need to read them.) But overall, even if you don’t plan to read the whole series you need to read this book. It is one of my favorites for sure.

Scratch Writing Camp Writing Sharing Thread (March 2022)

♙ 7th of March ♙
736 words

My character Aisling is a young fae living in a town where humans and supernatural creatures live and coexist with each other peacefully. She has never known anything else other than it and the land of the fae, just like most of the citizens born and/or raised there. The town is isolated, surrounded by miles and miles of forest, and has had no contact from the outside world at all.

“What is the one thing that makes your character tick?”

Dishonesty, and when her trust in people is misplaced. To earn Aisling's full trust, you have to work hard and prove yourself to her. When you have her trust, you can be assured that Aisling will be very loyal to you.

However, one thing that makes her tick is when someone earns her trust and either betrays or takes advantage of it, especially when said betrayal involves things like dishonesty and deception. It makes her feel belittled, played with, and is just a great offence to her in general. Even if you don't mean much harm, and are only making white lies, she won't like them at all, as it makes it seem as if you are mocking your friendship and bond with her.

“What does your character value most in a friend?”

Relating to my answer above, the thing that Aisling would value most in a friend is mutualism. She places great importance on the friendship between her and someone else being mutual. For example, a friendship where both are honest with each other, and both are loyal to each other.

Aisling would not like a one-sided friendship, and is rather blunt when expressing herself sometimes, so if she somehow ends up in a one-sided friendship with someone, she will not hesitate to say that she doesn't like nor approve of how their friendship is going the exact moment that she realises.

This extends to things other than honesty and loyalty, like respect. Aisling treats everyone with a baseline respect (even if she may act rather… flat reserved) and will expect for people to return her courteousness and her effort of being at the very least respectful to them no matter who they are.

“What is your character's greatest weakness?”

Aisling's greatest weakness is her lack of self restraint. As I said before, Aisling will not hesitate to say when she does not approve of something that is happening in one's friendship with her. She also does this with other things. She will not restrain herself and will always (always. it's a guarantee) say and express when she is displeased, even if it comes at the cost of, let's say, the friendship. She doesn't have the social self restraint to not say it, or to wait for a better time. What makes this worse is her rather blunt way of saying it, which may offend some people, and probably already has.

This could very well end her up in a dangerous situation and/or turn several people against her, and in a town full of supernatural people and humans who have the off chance of learning or knowing magic, this isn't the best thing that could happen.

“What kinds of music would your character like? What types of clothing?”

The town that Aisling lives in is extremely out of touch and separated from the rest of humanity, and is quite left behind in terms of technology. The rare pieces of more modern technology that have made it through aren't very popular, mostly discarded in favour of magic and the perks that come with living in tandem with the paranormal world. The most used piece of technology in the town is probably the radio, and even that isn't particularly used much. So, the kinds of music Aisling likes aren't very modern. She wouldn't know any modern pop songs.

I think Aisling would really like deep, orchestrated classical music, since it goes along with her character very well. That kind of music is raw, but beautiful, and I feel that she would really identify with it. She would probably spend hours just sitting and listening to it in silence, enjoying the sound. Pipe organs also remind me of her, so she might enjoy those as well.

For clothing, she would wear things that are subdued, and not too bold and bright, but still have a style signature that just screams Aisling. She would wear flowy, loose clothing and look elegant but still blend in enough. The colours she'd prefer her clothes to be in would be earthy brown, a dull grass green, and milky, bluish whites with a few scarlet or yellow accents.

poppies ( a poem )

Swish, swish , swish the pretty red poppies are gracefully sawing in the cool breeze.
not a peep they are making but the tiny squawking birds flying between the tall trees.
there is some green grass that the poppies like to rest in when it's time to sleep.
all the poppies slowly stand up with no peep.

Questions:

What does your character value most in a friend?

Theckla values many things in a friend, from kindness all the way to trust but what she truly values most is laughter, humor. It is something she could always lean on back when she lived with her parents and something that helped her relationship with Graham to flourish. The smile on his face when they first met was what really drew her in and in all honesty she remembers every laugh they shared together. Whether it be just a giggle or a roaring laughter that brings tears of joy and leaves you choking for air. laughing with Gray has always been one of the best things in her life

What kinds of music would your character like? What types of clothing

Theckla will always be one for comfort and practicality. Of course she cares what she looks like and will dress up for the rare special occasions she will usually be spotted in black, white and grey. She likes simple looking clothes and the most color you’ll get out of her is a purple or a blue. Her clothes also accommodate her needs in a practical way, aside from comfort she wears clothes that are designed for her environment and will always have a few hidden pockets. As for music, Her favorite song is called all the birds in the sky (a common lullaby in her village).

What is one life-changing event your character has experienced? How has it changed them?:

Theckla has experienced so much already, her parents death, the loss of her bird, arrival of Aunty Gaile and Uncle Ian and her friendship with Gray are just on the surface. But the most Life-changing event she has experienced was probably when she first meets Theo (the (baby) dragon who killed her bird and eventually becomes her new partner). It is later revealed in the story that Theo was always her partner and the beginning of their partnership is the start of the most important and life-changing event in her life.

What is your character's biggest fear?:

It is quite clear that Thecklas biggest fear is losing more people. She doesn't befriend everyone but when she does it becomes a deep and powerful relationship. She really cares about the people close to her and is willing to go above and beyond for them. She has lost so many people already and it is always hard for her. Losing People is her greatest fear and not just losing them in death but losing them as a friend. This fear comes through clearly when Graham befriends Laura (a girl who has newly arrived in the town) she becomes a little possessive and fractures her relationship with graham as well as making it harder to gain Laura's trust later.
