I believe it'd be a good idea to quit the talk about innapropriate emojis– the person who originally posted mangos are innapropriate probably gets it by now, and its not related to the op

Admittedly I dont see much of a use, even if other emojis are already here, if we are just gonna add random emojis for no reason why not other emojis, like a shovel, or a pie
This dosent really make much sense to me
plus those emojis are leftover from an april fools day prank…

(#12)That would be great, more ways to express yourself.(#6)How? The peach emoji? That has nothing to do with this.no support. its used inappropriately outside of scratch. There has been a apple emoji so why not make a mango emoji or with other fruits? I think it will be cool(#4)Apple isn't either. Neither is the waffle, cupcake, or candycorn. Why not add a mango?
Why is this an important edition to Scratch? What could it be used for?
If every suggestion for an emoji that wouldn't be used very often got added per this argument, the ST would suddenly have a lot of emojis to add.

You mean The Official List of Rejected Suggestions? That list is there because a rejected suggestion is commonly suggested, not to “immediately reject things”. It is better for people to know what is rejected so you don't suggest it.I don't understand why ST keeps a place to tell suggestions and reject them immediately I believe it'd be a good idea to quit the talk about innapropriate emojis– the person who originally posted mangos are innapropriate probably gets it by now, and its not related to the op

As for my opinion on this, a mango emoji could be cool, but it really is just an unneccessary addition that you probably wouldn't see used very often, pplus I think you only want this because your name contains “mango” in it.

AND a lot of work for the ST, I want them to prioritize other suggestions.

Maybe because it's either hard to implement, it's useless, or they don't have the resources.I don't understand why ST keeps a place to tell suggestions and reject them immediately I believe it'd be a good idea to quit the talk about innapropriate emojis– the person who originally posted mangos are innapropriate probably gets it by now, and its not related to the op

In this case, it's useless.

I didn't mean that. I meant was, ST keeps a place for suggestions and everyone debates, and the person who suggested it is unable to reply them all. So people think that the person who suggested is wrong. Plus ST is rejecting almost every suggestion, then why a place for that? You mean The Official List of Rejected Suggestions? We just give constructive well, at least semi-constructive for most of us criticism, and you don't have to reply to every single reply to your post.I didn't mean that. Almost all suggestions are rejected by ST, and some are good which ST still rejects. I wonder I even keep a place for that when you're gonna reject it.They are just frustrated when they suggest something and it's either rejected or was already suggested by someone else.I don't understand why ST keeps a place to tell suggestions and reject them immediately I believe it'd be a good idea to quit the talk about innapropriate emojis– the person who originally posted mangos are innapropriate probably gets it by now, and its not related to the op

Apple emojis and the other food emojis were added as part of April Fools' Day 2015, as food was the main theme. The ship has sailed now, it would be weird to add another food emoji since they are barely used, the joke is dead, and redoing Edible Scratch would be unoriginal, since they usually do new themes each year.

Why are the other emojis an important Why is this an important edition to Scratch? What could it be used for?edition ADDITION to Scratch? What could they be used for?
Wait, what? You don’t see how they could be used?

Interestingly enough, they can even change the whole connotation. Observe:
Oh, shut up, man!
That carries the meaning that the recipient is funny and is making the OP laugh. But what about:
Oh, shut up, man!
That’s derogatory and should be reported. How about:
Oh, shut up, man!
No emojis? It’s a bit ambiguous. I don’t know what it means here!

Also, we cannot use the logic that we should include the mango emoji because the other emojis supposedly have no meaning. We cannot simply allow ideas with flaws to occur just because there are other ideas on Scratch that you think are worse. Why can’t we just add a knife emoji? After all, we had a worse emoji at some point (the eggplant emoji used to be an emoji before being removed.) Why did we have eggplant and not knife? Better yet, let’s add eggplant AND knife and make some inappropriate conversations! I don’t think we want that.

It would be great if we had a larger Scratch Team. Unfortunately, with such a small team, it’s not even feasible to add such an influx of new content ever. If you disagree, perhaps consider trying it yourself. Learn to make a website, learn to add a bunch of important content so that the site works, and then add an influx of emojis for little reason. Additionally, I believe the influx of emojis could possibly lag up the servers.

WAHTYeah the banana can be used inappropriately also.I meant that the banana was the other emoji you forgot aboutNo. The eggplant emoji is what I was talking about. Not the banana. But that could be the case also. You must be talking about the banana emoji And the eggplant emoji and another emoji I forgot about.
