But I thought that there is one before 2 and 1, it's just the new ones have problems and they took them out and remade the old ones, because the phone guy never died in the 2nd one even though he died in the 1st one.

yep also the date on the check in the second game has the year “1987” the year of “the bite of ‘87”! and in the first game the year is a lot later then 1987
and the phone guy tells you about “the bite of ’87”
