But yeah, this is not very constructive. Like others have said, you can just report a topic to be closed silently, so I support.

Support this is spammy also the only way to close a topic is to report it so its taken down, soooooo…..I type this request in order to ask you to provide information regarding what you mean by “also the only way to close a topic is to report it so its taken down” via typing your elaboration and pressing the submit button. (Or in other words, could you elaborate on what you mean?)
By “taken down”, do you mean “closed”? There are actually two ways to close a topic, the button that appears for the creator 24 hours after the topic is made, and reporting it to be closed.

First, remove the username. It's not nice to say people's names. Second, this is the reason I'm quitting the forums. The sentence isn't disrespectful or spammy, and you do not know if the user actually wants to close their topic. By saying this, people may realise they are able to close a topic.Yeah, this is exactly why I'm leaving the forums. Most of the people in here don't actually know what to consider spammy. Most people here think forum post count matters, but it doesn't.

There are many posts that seem spammy too, not just that one. For example, there is not really a need to have more than one “this is rejected” post, or “this is a duplicate” post (unless there seems to be an older topic), or more. But how will the filter detect all the spammy posts? Because someone could say
If this is resolved, report the topic to be closed.and then
Is this resolved? Then report the topic to be closed.I do not think there is a way so instead of filtering it, it should be discouraged in stickies and by the Scratch Team, as that will generally be more likely to work. Since the filter will not be good at defending against these types of posts, some forumer might not encounter it, and countinue making these types of posts, even if a forumer does come across they might be confused, and continue, whereas if a Scratch Team member says “we try to discourage it”, they might stop.

For example, there is not really a need to have more than one “this is rejected” post, or “this is a duplicate” post (unless there seems to be an older topic), or more. -snip-Those posts are actually helpful. The ST actually benefit from not having to go and find a topic every time someone makes a duplicate. Unless you are talking about just “this is rejected” or “this is a dupe” with no quote or link. In that case, those shouldn't be posted.
But how will the filter detect all the spammy posts? Because someone could sayI'd rather that detailed mini-mod posts are encouraged than mini-mod posts in general discouraged. If this is resolved, report the topic to be closed.and thenIs this resolved? I am talking about “this is rejected” or “this is a duplicate” without any explanation, and more than one of those posts. There is no need for more than one. There are many posts that seem spammy too, not just that one. I agree. I think your idea is better than mine.Since the filter will not be good at defending against these types of posts, some forumer might not encounter it, and countinue making these types of posts, even if a forumer does come across they might be confused, and continue, whereas if a Scratch Team member says “we try to discourage it”, they might stop.I'd rather that detailed mini-mod posts are encouraged than mini-mod posts in general discouraged.
