(Read it all!) Bits currency ( But hear me out! )

A currency like bits, like you can own a currency in scratch. Wait! I know its on the rejected list, but there is a work around i thought of.
- You can toggle infinite bits mode, so you have endless bits to spend. people who curate the project cant limit their players and scam them. (You can toggle and use your bits.)
- Your bits amount is only shown to you.
- Whenever you use bits on a game ( when not using infinite bits mode ) it gives the bits to the project curator.
- You cant buy bits in the scratch website with real money to prevent the “for everyone” saying.
- projects CANT detect whenever infinite bits mode is being used, if bypassed, the project will be able to be reported for the select reason.
There can be ways to gain bits
- getting a view - none.
- getting a love - 2 bits
- getting a favorite - 3 bits
- getting a follower - 3 bits
- getting your project put into a studio without you putting it in - 2 bits
- becoming a scratcher - 30 bits
- Starting bits - 40 bits
- Getting a featured studio or project - 100 bits
- getting the row for “ Projects made by ” - 200 bits

Bragging about your bits is a little stupid, so to make people believe that they have fake bits, you can click a pencil icon next to the bits currency to fake your bits. (refreshing keeps the fake bits) That way, people cant believe they have real bits or not.
Here are some ways you can use bits (without code blocks)

- Characters / images used in your signatures in the discuss tab. ( There can be a button at the top of the signature changing link saying “Want more character and image space? Click here.” Then it will prompt you to use 15 bits to gain access to more characters and images. )
- There are only 3 times you can create a studio for free. After the 3 times, you have to use 10 bits to create a new studio to prevent spam studios. (Teacher accounts create studios for free all the time, so do student accounts)

Here are some code blocks you can use with bits
Prompt bits ( ) ::#000000

Pass bits( ) ::#000000

( Bits ::#000000)
- if this is bypassed, the game will be able to be reported.
if bits used, then {
}::#000000

if bits prompt exited, then {
}::#000000
Prompt bits - Prompts a player to buy a item with bits.
Pass bits - Give the player playing bits in the curators balance
Bits - Shows the players bits amount (not as necessary)
if bits used, then - does a action when the player uses bits
if bits prompt exited, then - when the prompt is closed, or finished.
Why is there no when bits not used? It will be abused, you will be forced to use your bits.
NOTE - Only scratcher can get / give bits to people, and give love and favorite bits to players
So thats my opinion. DONT REPLY WITHOUT READING IT ALL!!!!!
thanks owo

So people who dont have enough bits can enjoy money spending on projects infinitely
bits have more purpouse, not just in games…

wait, what if people use alt accounts and pull their projects to studios? giving the almost infinite bits?

Some form of digital currency which allows you to “buy” Scratch features (with real or fake money) would not really benefit the educational value of Scratch; after all, there is not really anything that you can buy. While there could be features that are only unlockable via digital currency, this does not really contribute to Scratch's purpose of being a programming language available for everyone. However, you can make digital currency in your own projects, if you like. A very good detailed analysis for why digital currency should not be on Scratch can be found on this post.

Some other users have suggested Scratch achievements such as “Created 50 projects” with the idea that this would give users motivation to keep using Scratch. However, this sort of idea does not really fit in with the purpose of Scratch. Some users may use their achievements to determine that they are “better” than other users. However, you are allowed to make achievements in your own games, if you like.
Never read the whole thing, huh?

Ill note down that you only scratchers can give bits
( maybe detect the IP its been using and not reward bits. if so, they can remove the studio feature.)

its going to be hard to get tons of bits from scratcher alts.

this is rejected, I read the whole thing, there is literally an entire post linked in the official list of rejected explaining why this is a bad idea, with examples given that almost flawlessly parallel this: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/346976/?page=2#post-3509160 also why would we need this…?

Ill give my own take too, why not

I really like trading card games, like REALLY like trading card games, and I really like playing aggro decks, which focus on getting lots of cheap units, as oppose to one powerful one, and I play this one trading card game on roblox, “blox cards”

In that game, there is a term called “overexstension” which is when you place way too many units, just for the purpose of placing units, which is an awful idea, cause there are lots of cards that can kill all of your cards, as long as you have X or more number of cards.

Adding this feature, would kinda be like “overextending”, it does little to nothing to add on to scratches main goal of education, its just wasted resources, its just adding features for the purpose of adding features, its meaningless, it adds virtually nothing, not to mention that if you can get inifinite bits, this is worthless, nobody cares about getting bits cause you can always just turn on infinite, not to mention than moderators would also have to worry about a funny fun little word: INFLATION

This whole thing is the exact same reasons TOLoRS said it was a bad idea-
also, infinite bits beats the point anyways.

Oops sorry, didn't read the whole thing, but I don't support it, I don't see any reason to have a currency. The ways to ‘spend’ bits aren't nessasary.

What would happen if someone did that without infinite bits mode? Also, I believe this still falls under 8.7.

infinite bits mode isn't for the project, it's for the Scratcher to use

anyways no support, these changes mean that there's no reason for it to be built into the website at all, infinite bits mode defeats the purpose of it, but at the same time all of this can be easily done unofficially

infinite bits mode isn't for the project, it's for the Scratcher to use
That's what I meant.
