Lore!
You lived in a land of happy living furniture. You were at a party with your friends when disaster struck. An evil octopus named qloak declared war. You quickly use your clock to turn into a static piece of furniture, but your (stupid) friends decide to fight.
…
The aftermath of it.
A dystopian wasteland. You. And only you. The “Two legged lamp” statues were walking around. All of your friends, furniture you had known for years, were static, unmoving.
…
It's up to you now. You must save you friends, by defeating qloak.

Before applying, I would like to know some more information about the collaboration. Sorry for the rain of questions!
Is there any schedule / deadline set / timeline for different parts of the project?
Does the project currently have a main idea / theme / focus?
What will the gameplay be like?
What will the art style be like?
What will the music be like?
How will contributing work?
Finally, what does “subsidiary of Aspect Inc.” mean? Can I contribute to this project without being related with Aspect Inc?

Ah, this reminds me of DREAMCHILD, the collaboration that had hope and hype but failed to inactiveness, how ironic of it’s first version. Hope you guys don’t follow in it’s footsteps.
I do suggest you own yourselves and not get owned by aspect inc, it isn’t the right fit to be owned by a software development team. I’d also suggest you use godot and a github repository, those are much more advanced and helpful. If you can also answer @SansStudios’ questions I might apply as well.
You also need some sort of lore/storyline post, design and coding guidelines, some basic concepts and a lot of information about mechanics, if you can get those done and be active, this could be a real thing.

Hi! This seems like a cool project in the making!I was hoping(this is debatable) to get it done by… maybe June-September for the whole thing? I need some scripts pretty soon

And I should probably work some more on the sprites
Open world, pick your boss sort of thing. You need to beat the three(?) regularly accessible(the ones you can fight pretty much from the beginning, but you might die) bosses to get to the sub-boss to enter the town of the main antagonist (also rummaging to get armor, weapons, etc.)
Art style will probably be like (the few levels I've played of) Celeste. It's going to be all pixels, but cut scenes and focal points may be more detailed
Original songs mixed with Nintendo and other music (like lavender town)
Ummm…. you…. contribute? And there's going to be credits in the desc. and at the end of the game??

fine your right smarty pants but honestly dont most of them want money for the fetures you tend to need for this type of project
