How do I update a shared project?

Let's say I have a project that I shared. Then I make an unshared copy of it so I can add some new features. Is there an easy way to updated the shared project with the new features? Or should I just share it as a version 2?
I guess what I'm really asking is - what's a good way to make improvements to a project that's already been shared?
Thanks!

Download to your computer from the unshared project and then upload from your computer into the shared project

You don't need to use the offline editor

Just click on File and Download to your computer and the File and upload from your computer.

The offline editor has File Open and File Save

I hadn't really paid much attention to that menu. By the way - what is “turbo mode”?

How do I update a shared project?

I'm making some big changes to one of my projects, and it would be broken on and off while I'm working on it (especially since I'm new to Scratch and it takes me a while to get my idea translated into a working project ). So I wanted to keep the shared project working while I work on changes.

That is such an easy answer! Click see in side and start editing! If it takes more than one day you should click unshare to edit.

How do I update a shared project?

It is always better to work on a secondary project and then update the primary project incase something goes really wrong and it doesn't stop users from seeing your current project as you work on updating it

How do I update a shared project?

File –> save as a copy

After it's done, just share your project and keep the old one as an old version!
