Effie Trinket: Now the time has come for us to select one courageous young man and woman for the honour of representing Disctrict Twelve in the 74th annual Hunger Games. As usual, ladies first!

Part 2
*Effie crosses over to the bowl of girl's names, and reaches in. She picks one up and strides back to the microphone. She opens the slip up.*

Part 3
Effie: Primrose Everdeen.

Part 4
*close up into Prim. She looks nervous and starts walking towards the stage*

Part 5
Effie: Where are you dear? Well, come on up. Come on up.

Part 6
*prim tucks her blouse in as she walks*

Part 7
*Mrs Everdeen looks nervous as she watches Prim walk*

Part 8
Katniss: Prim! Prim!
*Two peacekeepers block Katniss' way.*

Part 9
*Katniss struggles for a bit*
Katniss: I voulenteer! I voulenteer!
*The Peacekeepers back off*

Part 10
Katniss: I voulenteer as tribute!

Part 11
Effie: Well it would seem as if we have a voulenteer, Mr. Mayor.

Part 12
*Katniss runs to Prim, and close up to Katniss and Prim*

Part 13
Katniss: Come here. You need to get out of here.
Prim: No! No!

Part 14
Katniss: Go find Mom. Go find Mom.
Prim: No! No!
Katniss: I'm so sorry.

Part 15
*Gale cuts through towards Katniss and Prim*
Prim: No! You can't go, Katniss-

Part 16
*Gale pulls Prim off Katniss*
Gale: Up you go, Catnip.

Part 17
Effie: A darmatic turn of events in District Twelve. District Twleve's very first voluenteer. Bring her up.
*Katniss climbs the steps*

Part 18
Effie: Come on dear.
*effie brings Katniss to the mic*

Part 19
Effie: What's your name, dear?
Katniss: Katniss Everdeen.

Part 20
Effie: I bet my hats that was your sister, wasn't it. Can't let her have all the glory, can we?
Katniss: Yes.

Part 21
Effie: Let's have a big hands for our first voluenteer, Katniss Everdeen.
*effie claps but no-one responds. She stops*

*District Twelve do the thing-*

Effie: And now, for the boys.

Effie: Peeta Mellark.

*Peeta is lead up to the stage*
