Quick view costumes and sounds.
Oh hey, an old topic of mine that isn't a duplicate or rejected.
The Problem:
Moving costumes, backdrops and sounds around is a pain (pun not intended), especially when you have over 100 costumes and want to move costume 93 to costume 1. Imagine having even larger projects with even more costumes, where you have to do this multiple times. Does that sound fun, or tedious?
The Solution:
My solution to this problem is an option to fullscreen the costume/backdrop/sound pane. This ‘fullscreen’ version would show up as a separate window, similar to the costume library, but with a primary purpose of organizing costumes (which I'm using as an example, but everything applies to backdrops and sounds, too). This would show up as a ‘quick view’ button below the ‘create costume’ button and the window that would show up would obviously have an ‘x’ button in the corner.
Please remember, this is the costume pane, not the paint editor. The costume pane looks like this:

The Details:
The ‘quick view’ costume pane would show about 80 costumes at once, like this:

With the numbers in [square brackets] being replaced by the costume of the specified number (I can't do mockups, sorry). You would obviously be able to scroll through them by scrolling, but you could also scroll through them by dragging a costume to the top/bottom of the screen. Just clicking on a costume would close the ‘quick view’ pane and take you to the costume on the costume pane. But here's a new feature that would be extremely helpful: the ability to select multiple costumes to move at once.
To select multiple costumes, simply click in between 2 costumes and drag, this would have costumes be selected, like selecting text, as in, moving the cursor down would result in this:

Got that? Well, you could move around these groups of costumes just by dragging them after you selected them, and change which part is selected by moving the blue bars pictured above. This same thing could also apply to sounds, but that's not quite as necessary, as projects rarely have as many sounds as they do costumes.

How would this help out New Scratchers? They don't make large projects.

My first shared project (that I shared a week after I joined Scratch) has about 60 or so backdrops. New Scratchers are, indeed, capable of making large projects.
So Basically:

Support. I'm not even close to being done with one of my projects, and I already have 90+ costumes.
I am not going to drag it up 10 costumes, scroll up, and drag it again until everything is in the order that I want.
I really need this for my big projects.

Wouldn’t this be bad for the server storageThere are already projects with 100+ costumes, sounds, and backdrops. I don't see how having a second viewing option is going to change anything.

Heavy support! For one of my animations, because date and day isn't syncing, I have to make 80 costumes now, and need to sort through all of them. I just had to do Hurricane Ivan(in case you didn't know about it), a long lived storm. This would make it easier.
