Can you add a feature to connect to real wifi? That would be great for some os's.

Say “YEAH!” to vote.
cloud variables already exist, however I do agree on adding certain blocks (maybe an exstension) that can aid in creating multiplayer games

If someone is willing to parse the JSON, love/favorite/view/remix/follow counts could be detected thanks to this.

I do not know how this works. Im not the BEST coder, but I am decent. It may take Sensors and time possibly to figure this out. It might take more accounts and same accounts on different ddevices to do this (Maybe not) still i dont think this is possible.

No Support. YOU SHOULD NOT GET ACESS TO REAL WIFI. and I don't know if it will help OS Projects. Mine doesn't need too. Create a Fake Wi-Fi for your OS (only in Scratch) and use it. I am sure this won't be implemented. This won't help in Scratch's Educational Purpose

you can actually detect if wifi is on or off in scratch. using translate (if translation fails , wifi is off)

That actually caused issues for the translate server, don't do that.

No support. Someone could hack into the code and could steal your IP address and other personal information, even if there were other components that tried to prevent that from happening.

What… would this do? Send HTTP requests to connect to servers or something? There's a lot of suggestions like that.

So does your browser every time it's trying to connect to a server.

No, I'm saying that if this feature ever gets added (probably not), there MIGHT be a chance that someone with malicious intent COULD POTENTIALLY exploit the code and hack the IP address.

Again I am saying, No Support, Answer these points

1. How will this effect Scratch's Education Purpose?

2. If someone hacks an device with Real WiFi then who will be responsible? Scratch Team or the Scratcher?

4. Say YEAH! or Support but give Reasons also

5. This might lead to ads on Scratch which is REJECTED

7.7 Paid advertisements on the Scratch website
Some users are interested in seeing paid advertisements in their projects, like on YouTube, so they can make real money from people viewing their projects. Similarly, some users believe that having advertisements around the Scratch website can allow the Scratch Team to make more money. However, Scratch is supposed to be a non-profit organization. If the Scratch Team or any Scratchers start making money from anywhere on the Scratch website, that would contradict this non-profit philosophy, and that would be a huge legal issue.

7.8 Project advertisements on the Scratch website
Some users are interested in having advertisements around the website which advertise Scratch projects or studios, even if they are not paid for these advertisements. However, it is unclear how projects would be chosen to be advertised. Also, this would require a Scratch Team member to ensure that inappropriate projects are not chosen to be advertised, and the Scratch Team does not currently have the resources to do this.

getting IP address is allowed though , heck almost every website does it , there's not much you can do only with the IP address , and also , if someone wanted to “hack” scratch to get your IP address , they would hack scratch to do many other things , not just to get your IP address (there are even a lot of websites that help you track someone's IP)

Access to the wifi. Would allow you to do things such as get the person's IP and violate lots of things involving account privacy.
How would you get a persons IP… cloud broadcast it? whatttt? No, it would not allow someone to get another person's IP.
There are very smart hackers who would surely take advantage of the situation if they could.

Semi support. Would be very useful, but because of how scratch is, I'm 100% sure they are gonna have the best ip protection or the worst. No inbetween.Could also open up the possibility of a… ONL*NE CH*T R**M!!!!! SUCH SCARY WORDS!!!!

You can also just use a studio as an online chat room and you can just make it obscure. Getting a studio popular is not the same as getting a project popular. I can make a studio and leave it sitting for years without anybody joining, but a project will get a few views/likes.
