I agree a lot. The starting price of the 2021 MacBook Pro is probably enough to buy a car.
wait wait where can i get a car for $1999???

sure - 1999 is a lot of money for a laptop, but its worth it for someone who enjoys the advantages of macOS and it's performance, it will actually turn out to be a profit for a lot of people who use MacBooks for work. if you dont want a 10 core CPU and 16 core GPU, get a MacBook Air.

I think there's nothing wrong - just Apple being $ Apple $
Clarification - Intel Mac Mini's are probably more expensive to manufacture since they have to pay Intel for the chips.

Apple Silicon is extremely cheap to manufacture if you're not considering the billions they put into developing it.

True, manufacturing costs was what made the newer MacBook Air the same price as before but 10x better in almost every aspect.

That's not the case with Apple.

disclaimer: sometimes my posts are pretty critical of the scratch team (especially my older ones), but i really do scratch & scratch team. jvvg made a short essay thing about the scratch team, which is a pretty good read, if you want a different perspective for the scratch team's actions.

I thought that you can also get Core i7 and Core i3 in Macbook Air right? I have the Core i3 Macbook Air and I know there's an option for an i5

anybody have a early 2012 macbook pro 13 inch? cant seem to get macos working on it for some weird reason (recovery mode glitches with the SIERRA installer and Internet Recovery is just… frozen. I can't click on anything)

It does have an i5 tho so that makes for a nice linux laptop

UPDATE:
Tried network recovery once more and it succesfully installed High Sierra. Also it's an Early 2011 Macbook Pro not a 2012 sorry for the confusion.

Me neither (I use python 3) so I don't really care if 2.7 gets depreciated or not.
