Using ProxMox to run MacOS in a VM is great. No issues at all, everything works out of the box.

TBH - If you dont want to spend too much on it - get the MacBook Air, the price difference over the Pro isn't worth it imo. if you want similar performance and the ability to boot more OSs, get a Windows laptop with a good AMD CPU for less. or if you really want to go overboard, get the 14" M1 Pro MacBook Pro. If I buy and M1 macbook pro do I have to use macOS or can I boot something else?
i cant agree more - the 2019 i9 MacBook Pro is a toaster for your lap, it does have good performance but for the price and heating it's a waste, and you'd have to be really crazy to buy it in 2022. the 2019 macbook pro has been known to cause 3rd degree burns and has been rated one of the worst laptops ever ok thanks bye

(#740)Could you please just stop with the “Modern UI forever” or "Modern UI is always better“ or ”If it's not modern, I won't use it"? We all know your opinions by now; others are allowed to have their own as well.(#739)No, this is 2022. Modern UI forever, remember the year?Opinions I guess. Rounded corners are modern UI, why would you want ugly early pre-catalina OSX UI.
Help improve the Advanced Topics (Really!)
Before you create a topic:
Always search for duplicates or other similar topics before making an umbrella topic, e.g., “The Mac Topic”.
- Is it about something you are planning on making but haven't made yet? If so, please wait to post until you have created a working prototype. This is a key factor to keeping the ATs as clean as possible.
- The ATs aren't technical support. It is perfectly valid to ask questions about things related to programming, but not issues with external websites, apps, or devices. Most sites have their own support system; try asking there!
- Is it related to something you are making in Scratch? (This includes OSes and other Scratch projects) If so, please post in Collaboration, Show and Tell, or another similar forum.
- Is your topic questionably “advanced”? Try browsing the other forums to see if your topic fits better in one of those.
- Issues with Scratch itself should be put in Bugs and Glitches.

Fun_Cupcake_i81: What, were you expecting not to see the utc - 12 thing again? THE UTC - 12 THIGN ALWAYS RETURNS. ALWAYS.
medians: I knew it would happen. I was the one who started it last year.
Fun_Cupcake_i81: Well then if you didn't want it back maybe you need to time travel to last year and fix that
Oh wait if you could time travel I think we all know exactly when you would go-

I think there's nothing wrong - just Apple being $ Apple $The Intel Mac Mini is still over $1,000, something's wrong.

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro, running macOS 10.15.7. I upgraded to Catalina earlier today from High Sierra.
I don't use a newer MacBook model because the newer models are expensive. I'm happy with what I have. I also don't like Big Sur and Monterey because the icons are ugly and everything's oversimplified.

I agree a lot. The starting price of the 2021 MacBook Pro is probably enough to buy a car.I think there's nothing wrong - just Apple being $ Apple $The Intel Mac Mini is still over $1,000, something's wrong.

wait wait where can i get a car for $1999??? even in India, a car as small as this I agree a lot. The starting price of the 2021 MacBook Pro is probably enough to buy a car.
starts at $3357
sure - 1999 is a lot of money for a laptop, but its worth it for someone who enjoys the advantages of macOS and it's performance, it will actually turn out to be a profit for a lot of people who use MacBooks for work. if you dont want a 10 core CPU and 16 core GPU, get a MacBook Air.
Clarification - Intel Mac Minis are probably more expensive to manufacture since they have to pay Intel for the chips. So even though very little people would've bought the intel mac mini after the M1 one was released, apple likes to make a profit every time. I think there's nothing wrong - just Apple being $ Apple $
