sometimes on the featured page you will see crappy animations and platformers that look like they where made in 5 minutes or stolen. but im not here to complain. I want to know how these projects get views so easily?

Somehow many scratchers like generic platformers / no-effort animations. It just started during covid.

Idk, it's just the community that likes it.

because society said so, listen here. People love and fave. Generic Plantformers are made for loves and favourites. If a scratcher who is new made it then that means that, the scratcher's messages would be filled with “#STGP” or “F4F” or “nice” or “trash” and “e”

Probably it may be another account of an actual popular Scratcher or they just lucky.

Either scratch team members feature projects or the algorithm will randomly pick you if your project reaches a certain amount of views or other stats I believe. Though we don’t know how it really works as that information is kept private to us

Featured projects are selected by the Scratch Team, as you probably know. Any project on the front page is going to get a lot of views.

Please remember that featured projects are sometimes selected because they look like they would be easy to remix and engage people new to the site.
