Five Nights at Freddy's projects.
that is cuz they are NFE (not for everyone) I understand that we can still make fnaf projects as long as they are not scary. But why can we not search them up? If I want to look at some cute fnaf projects, I can't find any because those projects can not be searched. why are we not allowed to search for those projects? People who search for those projects would know what fnaf is.

you can look up character names and see what you get
I have an Idea, Maybe when we search it scratch can put up a screen telling kids what it is and ask if they want to continue or not. The first thing they could see on the page is “FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S (FNAF) IS A HORROR GAME WITH WITH SOME SCARY ELEMENTS” Then they could add more stuff they could put a “Continue” button and a “Go Back” button.

No support. The scratch team already said why. Fnaf is banned because many kids got scared, some kids got scared so much they got nightmares at night and most school got angry, i don't really know.
Scratch its a kid website not a website meant for adults or teenagers.
People can also have a heart attack on jumpscares.
The answer is NO!

Scratch is for ages 8 to 16 so it is for kids AND TEENS. And its the kids fault for getting scared and having nightmares. And, its regular for kids to have nightmares, there is no way you can stop it. If kids don't want to get scared, than they should be smart enough not to look at scary projects. Plus, most scary projects have a warning at the beginning so its the kids fault for ignoring that. On scratch, people should be able to post what they like as long as it is not inappropriate, scratch should let people search things up that they like and not have it blocked. and, like I stated, scratch could put a warning when people search that up.

But According to the Community Guidelines
Help keep the site friendly.
It’s important to keep your creations and conversations friendly and appropriate for all ages. If you think something on Scratch is mean, insulting, too violent, or otherwise disruptive to the community, click “Report” to let us know about it. Please use the “Report” button rather than engaging in fights, spreading rumors about other people’s behavior, or otherwise responding to any inappropriate content. The Scratch Team will look at your report and take the appropriate action.
Just because Scratch is for Kids and Teens doesn't mean that there should be things that are 13+ (as Prime689 said, that's rejected). Content should also be good for kids from ages 8-16 to avoid trouble and some heart attacks. As well as PTSD for the younger children
Kids don't know any better. They think that they are brave and they overestimate themselves. Sure it's their fault, but can you really blame them? They don't have a fully developed mind yet!

You literally just said “as long as it's appropriate”, and scary themes are not appropriate.

Here's the thing, most of the fnaf projects are not scary. Its just goofy games or fan art. I understand that we shouldn't post scary things, but why can't we post non-scary things about fnaf?

I'm talking about the non-scary fnaf projects

I don't think you've been listening. You can post non-scary things, but since there are very few people on the scratch team compared to the amount of people on the website, projects with the series titled in the project title are automatically hidden from the search to prevent people from finding inappropriate projects quickly. I've also found it's the same thing for similar things to the name.

Sorry, I'm dumb sometimes so it took a while for me to understand, but we are still allowed to post fnaf projects as long as the projects aren't scary, and if it has fnaf or five nights at freddy's in the name, or desc, can not be searched up, but if it has one of the charecters names in it, as long as it doesn't have the title of the game, it can be searched up still. Do I have that correct?

ok, sorry for being annoying about it. I am glad that the projects don't get banned, I just think we should be aloud to search it up because a lot of people want to see it. But now that I know whats going on, I can understand why we can't search it up.

Kids are everywhere in scratch, they don't think the project is scary but they think it's just a normal project like the others. Scratch is for ages 8 to 16 so it is for kids AND TEENS. And its the kids fault for getting scared and having nightmares. And, its regular for kids to have nightmares, there is no way you can stop it. If you want to share fnaf games, share them on other websites like: gamejolt, itch or steam, BUT NOT SCRATCH.

that's allowed , just no jumpscare , no murder , no blood and use your common sense But I have seen way scarier things on scratch. and what if the project is not scary at all? Like cute Fan Art or something would that be allowed?

That's true, but just like what they said, there's really dark and gory games on Scratch that aren't even reported. They just stay there, which they shouldn't. But also, remember this: But I have seen way scarier things on scratch. -snip-

I feel like Scratch is mainly focusing in on FNAF itself, not really acknowledging the other, darker, gorier, and sometimes even s3xual projects that are being put up on Scratch and hurting it's environment more than FNAF. The keyword FNAF is hidden from searches, and many perfectly fine FNAF projects are being shut down. I completely respect and understand that scary and gory inappropriate projects should be taken down. To be the most honest as I can be, I'm disappointed in Scratch's fixation on specific content and ignoring other, more serious problems. A gross and terrible thing that has been going unnoticed by Scratch is certain ill-behavioured Scratchers will set their profile picture as p0r n0gr4phy and comment on popular projects, for many unlucky minors to see. I have seen it happen many times, so have my friends, and it doesn't seem to be taken care of enough. If any of you did actually take the time to read this, I hope you understand that we need to stop fixating and focus on more serious problems first.
Thank you for your time.

Yes. Anything that does not contain: But I have seen way scarier things on scratch. and what if the project is not scary at all? Like cute Fan Art or something would that be allowed?
- Jumpscares
- Blood
- Scary images
- Horrible backstories
Some kid: I think I can handle this project
*he can't handle this project*
*he gets nightmares*
*his parents get mad at Scratch*
FNAF is automatically marked NFE; this means it won't go on the front page or search. This is because FNAF had a large (and I mean by large, uppercase bold and italic GIGANTIC) surge in projects which feature jumpscares and scary content.
Scarier projects and projects with quite a bit of blood in it should be reported, as always.
also apologies for the wall of text, I didn't see that there was 4 pages of posts
