rework the algorithm and delete the remix option

yeah you heard me right delete the remix option why? for a simple reason 80% of all projects remix are clones with color changes and because scratch only delete it if its just the same project when scratch see this they go oh no there color changes so that's not a clone but sometimes these projects get even more popular than the original and with that we come to reworking the algorithm yeah because the scratch algorithm is unfair yesterday i saw a project that probably took 3 hours to make and another one that took at least weeks to make and guess who had the most views? the 3 hour one… so that's a really easy way to see the scratch algorithm is broke so my request here is at least rework to algorithm and if possible delete the remix option

rework the algorithm and delete the remix option

Deleting the remix option is definitely a big NO. Part of the Community Guidelines are “Embrace remix culture”.
Remixing is when you build upon someone else’s projects, code, ideas, images, or anything else they share on Scratch to make your own unique creation.
Remixing is a great way to collaborate and connect with other Scratchers. You are encouraged to use anything you find on Scratch in your own creations, as long as you provide credit to everyone whose work you used and make a meaningful change to it. And when you share something on Scratch, you are giving permission to all Scratchers to use your work in their creations, too.

Not to even mention that millions of projects are remixes, if they were removed, then what would happen to the site? If the remix is an exact clone of the original project, then it is reportable, but definitely not removing remixes as a whole.

rework the algorithm and delete the remix option

4.3 All user-generated content you submit to Scratch is licensed to and through Scratch under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. This allows others to view and remix your content. This license also allows the Scratch Team to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on the Scratch website, through social media channels, and elsewhere. If you do not want to license your content under this license, then do not share it on Scratch.

So, no. anything you post is under the creative commons license and Scratch cannot, and will not do this. By joining scratch you agree to this and cannot change it.

Although I am not one for Generic projects either, I recommend this to be closed.

rework the algorithm and delete the remix option

first off scratch uses creative commons share alike license
second off people could just download the original project and reupload it which would result in real stealing
last but not lest, this is rejected

3.2 Disable remixing or censor minor remixes
One of the most important ideas of Scratch is the share aspect. Scratch is a website not only for displaying your work, but also for sharing it with others, and by posting your project on the Scratch website you agree to allow others to remix your work. You are not allowed to write “Do not remix this project” in the Notes and Credits of your project; you may get alerted for this, because it discourages remixing. This suggestion extends to the ability to require permission to remix a project, as you have already given permission to others to use your creations by sharing a project on Scratch; for more information, see this post.

A remix of a project is allowed on Scratch, even if the remix only contains minor changes (this includes recolors). However, when you remix a project, you should put in the Notes and Credits what you changed. If you see a project that contains no noticeable changes, please use the Report button on it so the Scratch Team can take a look at it. This suggestion extends to “extremely minor remixes,” such as a remix of a game that gives you 2 points per second instead of 1. As long as the user explains what they changed about the project and gives proper credit, this is okay.
