Onion Skins and Scratch
still, if you wanted something to be added and then someone said that it was added in an extension and was literally not allowed to tell you the name of the extension, how would you feel?stop it with the browser extensions it's not practical as regular users who do not know what said extension is cannot use it as they don't knowsearch scratch in the extensions store and u can prob find it

Support, it would be extremely useful for us scratchers with more experience.

Semi-support. It's a great option to use and makes things easier to animate. But an extension can already do this, and it will lag the editor when it's enabled (I honestly tried this). If it's added, it might be going to crash the servers. An option to turn it off by default is a nice idea, but it can stop a large number of people using it at the same time (such as alts).

Support, I'm trying to make a game and I'm horrible with animations. An onion skinning option would help a lot.

Support - I'm not an animator on Scratch, but it would make that a lot easier as you would know where everything was in the previous costume.

I've changed my mind to support, it is obvious many people in the community could benefit from this. An onion skin feature would benefit animation.

Support as long as it's off by default so that people first starting scratch don't get confused.

support, but if the st rejects it, there is a website where you can edit and create scratch projects with onion skins and other cool features.

I've tried it on a random animation and there's no lag (I can send a yt video if you really need proof)

Support. Multiple sprite animations are pretty complex, since other sprites may get in the way. Single sprite animations (The characters and objects are stuffed into one sprite) are way easier.
I am here because I posted a duplicate lol.

Maybe it could be disabled by default. An extension has this and it is very useful when animating! This might be a bit too advanced for newer users, but I think this would be a cool addition.Really?
I find the idea very simple…

Support, but will there be an option to turn it off? Because sometimes I won't need it.

It should be enabled by a block, but I am clueless on how to make mock ups so I can't help with that. Theirs no reason that it shouldn't be added, and inexperienced people are not a huge concern as they can learn how to use it anyway.
EDIT: Okay here is a mock up

(#1)I just use a browser extension.
My question is simple (so sorry if someone already asked about this). Will Scratch ever add onion skins? If they did, that would be so awesome XD lol…just saying. You should be able to turn it on and off. For those who don't know what an onion skin is, it's the option to show a ghost image of the previous costume on the drawing screen, without it actually being part of that costume. It's very useful for animation. I've tried to use Pencil and import files into Scratch, but it never seems to work, the formatting is weird, etc. I'm not trying to ask too much, but this addition would make a huge difference to me.
Thanks for listening,
~Luki
