ban domains distributed by freenom

i think if this happens then it should be extended to also include ml, ga, cf, and gq domains (the other tlds offered by freenom).

No support, this would be discriminative toward Tokelau people
Most people who own .tk domains aren't actually from Tokelau.

All freenom domains are fishy as heck, and there are better alternatives.

freenom is the only example of a scam that doesn't actually require the victim to give anything.

what a lot of people are overlooking is, Tokelau doesn't control the .tk domain. it's done by a sketchy company called freenom. i'd estimate that almost all of the currently registered .tk domains have nothing to do with Tokelau.

it's commonly used for phishing and scams as its free to register a .tk domain, and the registry themselves are involved in a lot of sketchiness.

Bump.
Also a few days ago, I had seen an expired domain here on the forums. It was a Scratch archive site, and it obviously redirecfed to NSFS stuff as the rest of this thread says, and using the Wayback Machine proved that it was a real site years ago. So i can personally confirm that freenom redirects sites to strange places.
Also aren't .cf and .ml domains also distributed by Freenom? They should be banned as well.

The do, if were going to block tk domains we really need to ban all the other domains that freenom distributes. If we don't, implementing this suggestion is sort of pointless.

nobody lives in tokelau. mali is actually a decent-sized country but i hardly think its worth it for the consequences. the whole setup is basically just a scam and perhaps the only in the world where you aren't actually giving the scammer anything.

No support. Why ban an entire domain because a few are inappropriate?

Also, maybe remove the links to the reviews in your posts as they mention ****.

Because the provider of those domains (freenom) purposefully steals domains registered using them and makes them inappropriate, without the owner's permission and without notice.

read this before you no support:

support. it isn't just one website, the company that hands out .tk domains, freenom, gives them away for free and will, with no notice, redirect them to strange places and sites very unsuitable for scratch. this once happened to a popular scratch site (that i can't name for obvious reasons).

I looked them up to find some information on it and read some reviews on Trustpilot (a website where people review websites and say if they’re trustworthy or not) and most were negative
